The Japanese website for Metroid Prime 4 already has a snippet of the soundtrack: https://www.nintendo.com/jp/switch/b...ts/mp3/bgm.mp3

While I couldn't find any composer information attributed to the file, honestly this seems to be a blatant Kenji Yamamoto track, as it evokes a lot of vibes from the previous Metroid Prime titles (Phendrana Drifts, Sanctuary Fortress, Bryyo, SkyTown, etc.).

There was also another track heard on the direct that sounds a lot like some of the Metroid Prime 3 boss tracks, which, while not confirmed, I have always suspected to be Minako Hamano's work, so it is possible she may also be involved on this title.

While there has been some conflicting information between Nintendo's PR info and game credits about Yamamoto and Hamano's actual involvement on previous Metroid titles, Samus Returns and Dread have always sounded "different" enough to me to make me think that they were actually mostly handled by the "newer" composers (Matsuoka, Abe, Doi), but this time around it seems to me that at least both Yamamoto and Hamano are definitely back for a classic Metroid-sounding soundtrack for the first time in quite a while.

Oh nice, I just love the atmosphere of this track. Reminds me a lot of Tropical Freeze's "Homecoming Hijinx" theme.

I agree the first music is either Yamamoto, or someone who imitated his style really well. I need to re-listen to the other themes as well, but from what I remember, there was a battle theme with distorded electric guitar that kinda sounded like Yamamoto as well.

In both cases, that's good news for the soundtrack of this game! While I liked what Yamamoto and Matsuoka did for Samus Returns (I feel Yamamoto did at least a few songs for it, like his reprises, and this one or this other one) -in most cases it succeeded to capture that Super Metroid/Metroid Prime series feel-, I really don't like Dread's soundtrack (a shame for what is otherwise an excellent game).
I feel Soshi Abe and Sayako Doi really missed what makes Metroid music amazing, and there's no memorable theme in it.
So, after Dread, something that successfully captures the essence of Yamamoto's music for the series is amazing news.
