I noticed that the composer credits have been changed to Composer (作曲), and the original vocals credits have been removed. Can someone please explain the reason behind these changes?

Since there hasn't been a guide to incorporate some of this information yet, it's understandable.
Being that it's a JP vocal album, standardization is applied where possible in credit links (whereas the notes can still reflect what may be on print).
SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] could certainly be marked as a performer, provided a booklet or something lists it as such.

But in particular, it can be because either JASRAC or a digital retailer lists it with those specific role formats.

Yes, please use 作詞, 作曲, 編曲, 歌 for all Japanese industry vocals. This is how they are usually credited on Jasrac and on the shop websites, and have more-or-less been standardized across the industry. You might also see 歌と演奏 (performer) in some cases, and this can be used there. There may be some exceptions to this depending on the scans, though if you see vocals credited with "Music", it should always be replaced with 作曲, as it is in the shop sites. I know we don't have the shop credits or scans yet for this album, but we preemptively default with these standard roles.

Thank you both for the replies. I understood the credits regarding the composer, lyricist, etc., but I’m a bit confused about the performer/vocal credits.

In the case of [nZk], digital stores usually credit it as “Sung by / 歌,” but if we look at his previous releases in the booklets, he tends to credit those more like a performer tag—for example, "X Song" by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Artist.

In these cases, should we use “sung/vocals” or “performer”? It’s been quite confusing going through his discography, as it seems to vary depending on the album or single.

I would still go with 歌, since it is that way on Tower and Yodobashi.
