Cleaning this entry up a little since there are two versions of the cassette (one with game music on side two, one with side one replicated but encoded differently) with several different language versions floating around.
EDIT: Official title is listed as "Loom: The Audio Drama" (no capitals) on the back of the game's boxes. Revising the images now and splitting the other language versions into separate entries since the contents are completely different (there are several language dubs of the audio drama with the voice actors and even the length of the track being different). What's interesting is the 24:06 "GAME MUSIC" track on side two of this version and how its contents diverges from the other releases. There's... 1. This cassette. 2. The audio drama CD which also has some music (albeit less than the cassette). 3. The 1991 soundtrack (has the same number of unique tracks as the FM Towns and PC Engine version, but the tracks have a different length). 4. The FM Towns version (which apparently has two versions of each unique track: one orchestral synthesized that only plays for the first time and one lower-quality more FM synthesized that plays for all subsequent loops). 5. The PC Engine version (which only has the orchestral synthesized tracks from the FM Towns version, but not lower-quality more FM synthesized tracks). 6. The IBM PC CD version (which has music and voice acting recorded in the tracks together). For later reference: English dub, German dub, French dub (high-quality cassette recording), French dub (low-quality cassette recording), Japanese dub EDIT 2: I guess the "Tape (English)" (duplicate of "Cassette (Side One)"), "Tape (German)" and "Tape (French)" images should be deleted from this entry. The track list should be amended with the GAME MUSIC 24:06 track from side two of this cassette. Creating the other entries now. EDIT 3: Many thanks Myrkul for taking care of this! :-) EDIT 4: There are some more tracks in the game whose origin isn't specified anywhere else: "The Sky is Opened" = close to the end of "Overture" = from "Acte II. No 10. Scène. Più mosso." (same as "Acte II. No 14. Scène. Più mosso.") "The Boundary is Breached" = the last part of "The Chase/Finale" = "Acte IV. No 29. Scène finale. Poco ritenuto. Ritenuto." "Draft" = 24 opening harp notes from "Cygna's Theme" = from "Acte I. No 4. Pas de trois. I. Intrada. Allegro." "Draft (Short Version)" = 12 opening harp notes from "Cygna's Theme" = from "Acte I. No 4. Pas de trois. I. Intrada. Allegro." "Draft won't Work" = arrangement of opening motif from "Cygna's Theme" = from "Acte I. No 4. Pas de trois. I. Intrada. Allegro." "A Higher Thread" = ??? "Descent" = – = arrangement of the harp solo near the end of "Acte III. No 26. Scène." Last edited by zierts; Apr 1, 2020 at 12:24 PM. |
