Damn! Damn! Damn! I was kind of thinking it was nice that Limited Run wasn't producing anything lately that I wanted, but I just HAD to go looking on their site and find this - "weakness" of mine announced

Look, I have no idea why they made a game based on Felix the Cat on the fading NES back in 1991/1992 - it makes no sense to me given Felix's popularity was mainly, what, in the 60's? - but I did manage to play the NES cart in 1997 and I was pleasantly surprised with the game. So, in hindsight, I'm glad it was made. No, it's no Mario 3 - clearly - but it's a solid product IMO.

To be honest, I think the asking price is a little high (I mean you are getting the NES and GB games here) but yeah, I can't resist this. Drat.

I never thought this would get re-released, but I guess this game being linked to Konami is why we're getting it.

The soundtrack is pretty solid as well.

Edit:

I should note that I believe I read at one point that there is next to no information who worked on this game. I mean, we weren't going to get that info with this release anyway, but yeah, info is rather scarce.

I got a production update e-mail from Limited Run with information on this:

"Standard copies are complete and starting to ship from our warehouse!
Classic Editions are in manufacturing set to arrive in our warehouse at the end of June. Shipping will begin promptly and move through the month of July!"

The original target on the classic edition was listed as October 1-31.

Hello, Mr. Evans...
Do you have any info about the tracklist?
Or maybe you haven't received the album just yet...?

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten this yet. All the information I have tells me it should be released relatively soon; for example, my order page on Limited Run says "Ready" for this item.

Also, I don't see any copies of the boxed CE on eBay yet.

Don't worry though. When I receive it I will be adding it to the database.

Edit:

I guess I was foolish for believing those estimates in the e-mail they sent me that I posted above; it's Limited Run, right?. However, it should be noted that the non-CE of the game has been released, it's just the CE with the extras (OST CD) that's not out yet.

I just got a production update e-mail on this. I guess I should have just listened to the original release target (October 1-31), because the beginning of October is what they're saying now.

Man, seven months of waiting, I hope it's worth it for you!
I wanted to buy it but it was too late for me when I came to know this album's existence.

Talking

Just received mine and holy moly I don't know what it is, but the disc art is really high quality to me. Really make me wish it was in a jewel case. It's clean and has like an embossed effect on some of the lettering.

Updated the track list and images

Okay, me mad now! I haven't got mine yet and I ordered in the first few minutes of the first day it was up.

I'm joking, but yeah, I would rather these come in jewel cases.

Edit 1:

Am I the only one that finds it odd that the track names between the versions (NES/GB) is mostly the same outside Deep Sea/Underwater?

Edit 2:

Whoa Whoa WHOA! What is that on this disc? Is that some kind of composer credit?

Cool Composer= T's Music

Yup! [T's Music]

I couldn't figure out how to add composer, but T's Music did both the NES and GB soundtrack

Got the shipping manifest today for my copy; should have it in a few days.

That said, never in a million years when I wrote the opening post in this thread did I think we'd get SOMEKIND/ANYKIND of information regarding the composition credits. I know technically it still is vague but after all these decades I'll take anything i can get.

Note that "Deep Sea" and "Underwater" are the same composition as I stated; I'm kind of clueless why you would deviate from the parity that is present in all the other track names.
