This is a silly question, but am I right in assuming that FFIII is the one FF out of 1-10 where the track names from the revival discs don't carry over to the DLs?

I think they do for the others but not this one.

Not that it's a big deal but do people consider these newer names the ideal translation?

It seems the Revival Disc reuses the original track names from the FF3 OSV with very few exceptions, the most notable being "Cute Little Tozas" -> "Tozus".

The Pixel Remaster OST's track titles are basically the same as the DS OST's.

The Pixel Remaster track titles should reflect the games' current localizations most closely. Whether this makes them ideal is up for debate. "Elia, the Maiden of Water" will always sound superior to "Priestess Aria" to me.

Speaking of the DS version, am I the only one that's at odds with it? I mean I like Sekito a ton but this version doesn't make that much of an impact with me even though I think I like the 3D version of 3 more than the 2D ones.

This will sound dumb but I kind of like how 3D 3 gives the characters some characterization. I mean I know it's pretty minimal but it honestly helps in my opinion. When I played 3 in the pixel remaster all I could think was V is essentially a better take on III, but when I played V all I could focus on was I think I like the pure turned based games more than the ATB games now.

Sorry, this is just bunch of rambling.

Edit:

Oh wow! Didn't know the DS version OST had the "Dangerous Short Music" tracks that are absent from the NES OSTs.
