Seems the game leaked early and we got partial credits!
I don't know if the order in which names are sorted is final but here's what we know :

Quote:
Sound Director: Yoshitaka Fujita
Music Director: Hajime Wakai
Music: Masato Ohashi, Manaka Kataoka, Chisaki Hosaka, Reika Nakai
I was not expecting Wakai to be music director but more on a supervisor role like LA remake, and I was really not expecting Ohashi (especially after his huge contribution to TotK) and Kataoka to return so early after TotK.
A couple of the newer composers was to be expected however.

And I was really wondering if this was Nagamatsu's final project before leaving Nintendo since some music really sounded like him, seems it wasn't the case, and I guess Wakai just really liked the music he made for LA remake lol. The composers they did a great job nailing his style.

(I have not found a picture of the credits and will not search for it since I really don't want to be spoiled so be free to post it here if you find it lol)

I can confirm that the formatting of the credits is unusual. I'm pretty sure my interpretation is accurate:

MUSIC COORDINATION: Kenji Nakajo
SOUND SUPERVISOR: Mahito Yokota
SOUND SUPPORT: Takahiro Watanabe
RECORDING & MIXING ENGINEER: Nobuyuki Aoyagi
ASSISTANT ENGINEER: So Shiiba
PERFORMER COORDINATOR: Noriko Sekiya
SOUND EDITORS: Eiji Nakamura, Chiharu Minekawa, Kenichi Saito
SPECIAL THANKS: Sound Racer Ltd., ATTIC INC., Face Music, SOUND INN STUDIOS Inc.

Oh, I wasn't expecting freelance composers (Yagi and Kato) to help Nintendo's music team on this game! That's quite unusual if you don't account for the Super Smash Bros. series.

Also, seems Yuri Goto could be another new Nintendo composer?

Alright, I got images that confirm the accuracy of the credits I posted above. I've linked everything up now.

It's unclear whether Yuri Goto is employed by Nintendo or contracted through ATTIC INC., like Yagi and Kato. However, I believe it's more likely that she's a contractor. I found a profile for her here: http://www.tonmeister.jp/staff.html

ATTIC INC. usually shares posts about their projects, as seen with Hyrule Warriors: https://www.attic-inc.co.jp/news/3357/

So there's a chance we might see more information on their website after the game launches, unless Nintendo restricts them from doing so.

The developers talked about the music a bit in this interview https://www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew...wisdom-part-4/

Ryotaro Yagi and Azusa Kato are mentioned, but not Yuri Goto

Hopefully, we won't have to wait a whole year before a soundtrack pops up (IF they're gonna release a soundtrack). Super Mario Bros. Wonder didn't receive a soundtrack yet either, and it's been almost a year. Has it to do with the sales? If a game sells well, Nintendo eventually releases a soundtrack? If the demand is high enough. They should team up with Columbia again, they did really good things for Zelda's recent OST releases.

I hope so too. Could be that Mario Wonder's music wasn't as elaborate as the usual soundtrack releases (hardly any live recorded instrumentation, it seems). Then again, the one I'm surprised hasn't happened is the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass soundtrack, which would seem like a given...
