"The music sounds conspicuously different from how they appear on the Gradius Ultimate Collection CD soundtrack. The reason for this is that the tracks on the album were rendered from an unidentified version of the game targeting the older MA-2, on an unidentified mobile platform, and we don't actually have that version of the game. The 900i version is actually the definitive version of the game and features the most content, so in a sense the CD soundtrack album is actually using the wrong audio for these tunes."
