Soundtrack Composed by -> I really don't want to mess with the core roles. The "composer" role isn't really used consistently as one of those distinct credits anyway.

Akutoku Manager -> This seems like a joke role (dirt manager, or corruption manager?) Or, another possibly, it's a character name. I would ignore it unless you are pretty sure it is a character (and then you could use something like cast).

まえがき (前書き) -> This means preface or prologue, but I'm not sure it is even a credit here, unless Usagi Nakamura at the bottom --, but the name is so far from the role, if that is the case.

OK so I have to remove the role of composer (作曲) for Takafumi Sotoma because otherwise this artist is mentioned twice on the same line.
I'm sorry but "Soundtrack Composed" is still not added. Unless you want to put "Soundtrack Produced and Composed" instead, but I think it's more like 2 roles.

If I may object, sir, it appears that only one of these would need to be linked as the credit, as per the first pages of the booklet in question.

I will include a similar precedent with one such credit across two entries to illustrate this:

In both of these, the approved linking name has been the standard role of "composer (作曲)", despite what is on print existing as a credit link of its own.
Both these entries and this one have multiple people credited as composers, so the normalization came into play here.

But what should be mentioned about the two examples I gave is that while the original language credits were present on the print of the main entry in question, they were not present at all on the prints of either example entry.

While it could indeed be added as an alias (like both my examples were), to be used when it happens to be the solitary form of the credit on the print, this specific entry would not necessitate its use over a normalization of the credit links.

It's not quite the same between your 2 examples and the POPS album, there are even more credits on the POPS album. If we don't put the role "Soundtrack Composed by" in the roles, we don't know that it was only Takafumi Sotoma who composed the soundtrack (except by looking in the notes), because we only have the "Music" role which mentions both Takafumi Sotoma and Keiichi Tomita (who therefore only arranged here). I also wanted to put this role for consistency with the other role "Soundtrack Produced by", and also to distinguish it from "Composer" of the songs featuring the artist ØKI.

And I don't see why the 1st pages of the booklet should have priority for the credits.
In general, I think that you should always give preference to the roles written in English in the booklet over the standard Japanese roles. Either way, I always do it that way. Otherwise, what's the point of adding all the roles in the database if it's to always give the same standard Japanese roles?

So for your 2 examples about One-Punch Man it's a shame not to put this specific role "All Instrumental Music Composed by" and why put "Lyricist" and "Arranger" instead of "Word" and "Arrangement" that are written in the booklet?

I did a similar thing for https://vgmdb.net/album/123703, where I placed all the credits that are written on the booklet, but shortly after nstz made adjustments to the song credits and replaced it with generic ones. There’s a chance that nstz made those edits when working on that submission, and it’s mostly albums from the past decade onwards.

But whenever that happens, if nstz did that edit and put the generic song credits, where the variations are there in the booklet, best to put them on the notes as printed.

Yes, most of this indeed appears to be a revision the existing convention that the inspector and a few other staff members are advancing to help make link sections appear more organized.
It would seem that it has yet to be communicated to all of the editors though, among other newer editing guidelines, and this may take some time to rectify. This I think is one situation where the benefits of being on the same page can’t quite be emphasized enough. As the system is still a work in progress, it’s certainly difficult to navigate at times.
