Yeah that's the other thing, a lot of these albums aren't even *that* rare seeing as there's usually 3 or 4 listings up at any given time. At those prices you'd think they'd be like Elemental Gimmick Gear or Evergrace levels of almost non-existent, but they clearly aren't.

Those Nintendo albums are only so expensive because of the allegedly very limited print run they had, in comparison to the high demand they create (it's Nintendo ). Noone cares for the Elemental Gimmick Gear soundtrack (except us), because noone ever played the game. I bet an auction on eBay for the EGG soundtrack would turn out as a disaster for the seller.

They actually got a helluva deal on it, considering what it has sold for in the past, and what Suruga-ya's asking price is for it: ¥3,280,000! Thought that's still a ridiculous price to pay for literally any CD.

Interestingly, the one that sold last week was a fluke. Someone bid and then didn't communicate with the seller, so they weren't able to collect the money. This is the same seller relisting it. Hopefully for them the person who bid this time actually pays them.

Yeah, it's just a CD-R. I wouldn't be surprised if several fakes have already been made and sold. I sure wouldn't risk that much money unless I bought from a seller with impeccable provenance going all the way back to the original purchaser who got it right from that first convention (or whatever it was) that ZUN sold it at.

91k Yen in the end. At least it didn't get pushed anymore. But I wonder if the buyer even read the description? The records are rated D which is the second lowest rating according to the seller. In other words just right before the junk bin. Ys II was even missing the insert.

Maybe a guy who had the 1st print and was tired of waiting? In my yahooing, I would say both are very scarce. But it fact I know from my PS1/2/3 collecting that some reprints are much scarcer (also much less desirable). I think this kind of reprint that is close in time to the original print has a very high chance of being a smaller total print run.
