Does anyone know anything about all these new Dragon Quest symphonic releases? They look like reprints of the old London Philharmonic Orchestra performances, but was there any remastery (enough so that they deserve a seperate entry rather than a child one?)

yeah i really wonder this also. And old one's sound was very very low. I hope they fixed it this time with mastering

Well to answer this old question, there seems to be a remaster but it's VERY subtle.
Also surprisingly only four of the tracks on the DQII recording are the same as on http://vgmdb.net/album/1683 -- there's a 1996 recording date though I have no clue what disc they are from unless the original recording was held four years. (Interestingly there's a 40 second intro to Beyond the Waves that only in the older recording) |
