I find that that game looks like a sort of ffv
I'd like to see an ffv psp remake with a ffl psp remake bundled like that ffiv collection =)

if the story could fit ffv one, that could make sense
(with ffiv/the after, I won't spit on an ffvi psp remake either)

I say down with the remakes (specially those cheapo, TOSE-powered ports) and derivative stuff like this. I've already played them, let's look towards the future, etc.

Maybe with less remakes they would have focused on salvaging FFXIII, har har.

bah personally, I liked the ff i,ii ps remake (I think originally, it was a wsc remake but whatever) and the ffiv psp remake
I think it's the only remakes I liked, with that tales of phantasia ps

I've submitted an English translation of the tracklist but it's definitely open to improvements.

For, 1-6, it'd be "Sheathing a Sword", as the original verb would be 納める, rather than 修める. Maybe 1-34 (twilight world sounds better?), 1-39, 1-18, 1-22 and more could be translated better, too.

Seems like Mizuta couldn't resist doing physical copies ^^;

Has anyone else noticed that the music on the OST is a bit different from the game? It seems like some instruments are louder or sound different. I have to do some comparison to be sure.

It wouldn't be the first time that an OST uses the uncompressed instrument sounds of sequenced music while in the actual game they are compressed to save space and/or processing power.

If you mean compared to the iPhone/Android FF Dimensions that one is arranged I'd say (this would be the OST is for the Japanese mobile phones version).

Yeah, I guess it's pretty safe to assume it's sounds like this on the Japanese mobile version. I'm glad they decided to improve the iOS version, with nicer bell sounds and a wider sound. Or maybe I'm just used to that version from playing it, and it might not necessarily be an improvement per se, just different

The smartphone version sounds so much better with decent instrumentation...
Blog/official site says Mizuta redid all songs + theme song (here)
There is a chiptune BGM mode too! (for 7$ :/).
Too bad no OST so far.

Official site with the theme song: EN / JP
Official blog with samples: 1 / 2

Eh, that sample from the blog sounds much worse to my ears than the OST version. The OST version instruments suit this old-school style much better than the HQ instruments, IMO.

The OST version sounds to me like Mizuta was held down by the phone MIDIs.
It still has this FF11-ish sound, unlike stuff like this, which was better tailored to the style/hardware.

The chiptunes from the smartphone version are done by Hirosato Noda

I asked Naoshi Mizuta whether they will release a full album for the iPhone version. He said he would like to, but it's undecided. I really hope they do, since it's some of the best stuff I've heard in recent years.

So I picked this up on iTunes.

And the US English iTunes tracklist is a hot mess.

They duplicated track names on 22,23 ; 28,29 ; 30,31 ; 38,39

I have it here on the site as they have it, but these were obvious novice errors. Nice job on the proofreading, Square Enix. Oy.

If someone wants to note that in "notes" I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Did you contact SE? I'm sure they will update the error, once they realize their mistake.

I never played this game, but I was looking for this album for a long time because FFXI made me a Mizuta fan.
I bought a copy of this album on ototoy.jp - it was the only lossless source I could find. Just wanted to mention it because ototoy isn't in the list of sources on the album page. Probably not many people will care, but I love having lossless copies of everything
