Takahiro Yonemura describes this album as "probably the first ever (pressed) doujin music CD", which is quite likely considering that the only preceeding doujin releases in the database are Yellow Magic Orchestra. If we were to go by the Japanese definition of doujin, the release types of the two entries would be switched. |

Hmm...Does the last track indicate the price is 100 Yen?

Nakanishi certainly has a unique history, as does probably everyone else that works on these doujin albums. Although, their future work is not far and few in between.

Based on the track name, I wonder if the last track is by Yuzo Koshiro? Disc 3 of the Early Collection Box credits a couple songs to two games in a "100yen Disk" series.
On another Koshiro related note, both of his tracks here are from games he's worked on. SPACE FIGHT appears on the OST for Misty Blue as an unused track from ActRaiser, and SUPER SCHEME is a medley of tracks from the game of the same name, all of which appear on the previously mentioned Early Collection Box. |

The 100 YEN DISKs were collections of small games for the PC-88 released by Alpha-X/ONION software, which is Yasushi Takeda/onitama's circle: https://onitama.tv/museum/100yen.htm
They feature music by a bunch of different people, several of which are artists on this album besides Koshiro. I've never bothered to identify the sources of what's included in the medley track on this album, but it wouldn't surprise me if it features the works of multiple composers (which is why it's not credited to anyone) |
