How would it be a cache issue if it shows a different avatar in the CP (the new one) and in the forum (the old one I try to replace)? Or do I have an avatar different from the blue men for you? Other browsers and devices show that old avatar for me as well, so no local cache issue anyway.

The forum avatar and the profile picture are separate, so you need to change them both.

Hah, never noticed that (or rather forgot it considering I obviously used it before, and the page layout looks exactly the same as well). Thanks!

As of about a week ago, the visitor counter of page traffic is not working for each post.
So, now all new posts have just 1 visitor.
Is this a bug? or a new update?

We update our counters using background workers, and sometimes they freeze up. I've restarted them so now they're working through the backlog.

I'll need to get some monitoring in place that automatically does this.

That's sounds like a hack/workaround. Why not fix the background workers instead?

For the last few weeks I've been receiving a "This connection is not secure" warning when trying to log in. I've never experienced that before. What's going on?

Nothing is going on, the warning is perfectly fine since VGMdb doesn't provide HTTPS.

Our browsers are becoming more alert in reporting security problems with sites we visit. To each their own how they feel about that I guess, but I personally think it's a good thing in this age where we have widespread ransomware, bad certificate authorities (Symantec) and corrupt governments looking into traffic by whatever potentially disastrous means needed (and the list goes on...)

Thanks for the clarification. It must have been a recent browser upgrade that made Firefox suddenly want to warn me. I only found it strange because it had never happened before.

This album page throws a 500 error: http://vgmdb.net/album/5613

It's the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai Original Soundtrack (LACA-9063~4)

Ah, Album ID 5613 is already reported.

I accessed a couple of times about 8 hours ago to add mastering engineer Yukio Kobashi, but can never now.
At that time there was an unlinked entry (propanmode).
If my memory serves me right, this problem might happen right after I register them.
According to artist log, their registration was successful.

Yep I figured it out thanks to that. The problem happens when you link a unit as an artist, and then the same unit again as a member of itself. I guess that wackiness triggers an infinite loop or some other error and VGMdb serves up a 500 error.

(The problem occurred here because propanmode is both a group AND the name of a specific person in that group. So on that album it's, uh, "propan_mode (propanmode, hos)." The inner propanmode shouldn't be linked to the group.)

Looks like there were a few albums in a folder that doesn't exist anymore. Could be a bug in the folder delete code, but for now I manually deleted them so that your total is correct.

Image loading has been super slow from few days before.
Is there any problem with the server?

And since Oct 2, all thumbnail images have been still unshown on My Submissions>My Lists>submissions>covers.
When I click a thumbnail, a small-size preview image never pops up with 'LOADING...' message.

edit:
This issue seems to be due to Cloudflare and some countries have performance issues by it.
Apparently admin considers whether he would drop it.

While re-arranging by using "manage Albums", some albums I moved have disappeared from my collection even though each of the three albums say they are in. When I click on "Contained in" in album stats to see what folder they're in, each album says that the folder they're in is "..." I have no folder by that.
I'd imagine this is a bug. Is there any other way to delete an album from my collection aside from "Manage albums" (it doesn't show up here after it disappeared) so I can fix any similar issue myself in the future? Hope I make sense.

Yeah, I've seen this bug before when a container is deleted before the albums inside it. I haven't looked at that code in a while, so to fix this for you, I'll just manually delete those albums from your collection.

Correct. The only way to remove them is to delete them from the SQL table. If there's an organization you want to delete, it is suggested that you re-use the page the next time you want to submit a new organization.

Seems like the background worker got stuck again.

CDDB requests seem to be broken because of HTTPS redirects...

Quote:
GET /freedb_search.php?words=KTGS-S0386CD&fields=artist&fields=title&fields=track&fi elds=rest&allcats=NO&cats=blues&cats=classical&cat s=country&cats=folk&cats=jazz&cats=misc&cats=newag e&cats=reggae&cats=rock&cats=soundtrack&grouping=n one HTTP/1.1
Host vgmdb.net:80
Connection close
This response is received.

Quote:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>302 Found</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Found</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a href="https://vgmdb.net/freedb_search.php?words=KTGS-S0386CD&amp;fields=artist&amp;fields=title&amp;fie lds=track&amp;fields=rest&amp;allcats=NO&amp;cats= blues&amp;cats=classical&amp;cats=country&amp;cats =folk&amp;cats=jazz&amp;cats=misc&amp;cats=newage& amp;cats=reggae&amp;cats=rock&amp;cats=soundtrack& amp;grouping=none">here</a>.</p>
</body></html>
Software that has freedb/cddb functionality don't generally support HTTPS requests. Can the "freedb_search" not force HTTPS?

From several days before, db's been so laggy in certain time slots.
....

Sorry, I'll look more into around my system&network and if something unstable with db is found, I'll report or contact admin.

I am not sure if you guys can help me on this one...

I switched to the new Firefox Quantum last night (currently version 60.0.1) and since i have trouble with the "Add Covers" system.
Everytime i upload 1 or more image, the first image get stuck at "100% Upload Finished, Processing..."
I also tried the "(I can't use Flash or Javascript)" variant but it's even worse there as nothing happens.

I tried without any extensions so it does not come from there.
Any ideas ?

The auto-provided option when linking Sony Classical is always Lass. While I see the obvious partial name match, it doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise. It happens in the most frequent combination of "Sony Classical (distributed by Sony Music Entertainment)".

Noticed this a long time ago, reporting it only now. While the manual selection works, it's a slight annoyance nevertheless.

It's no longer possible to access this artist entry. Did someone accidentally delete it?
