The mysterious "The Riddle" who was credited for mixing Live & Learn and several other songs in Sonic Adventure 2 may actually be Stan. Stated by Jun on Twitter that Stan mixed that song.

This would definitely lend some behind-the-scenes continuity - The Riddle seemed to fill the same role ("Jun Senoue's US mixer") that Stan fills on their other projects. I'm not sure why he would have used an alias for that game only, but it definitely makes sense to be him. Not sure how much to read into it also but while the release lacked mixing/engineer credits, the 20th anniversary soundtrack has a special thanks credit for Stan. Other releases that do have track-by-track mixing credits left "The Riddle"'s credit alone though. |
