If you're absolutely sick of Psy and "Gangnam Style" by now, get ready to rev up your schadenfreude engines because he rapped some anti-American lyrics over a N.EX.T song in 2004. Here's a Soundcloud link to the song (from the NYmag article), "Dear American". Psy has already apologized, but it'll be fun to see the whiplash from "most popular Youtube video ever"/"Korean Macarena" to, uh... meme pariah? Or maybe it'll blow over like nothing happened.

Psy-bashing isn't my main reason for posting this, though. If you clicked the Soundcloud link, you might notice the song is a fully developed version of "Rogue Hunters (Assassins)" from Guilty Gear XX #Reload Korean Version Original Sound Track. Now I've gotta trawl the whole N.EX.T catalog to find out just how many prototypes/instrumentals are on this soundtrack. It's interesting to see the artists of one of my top 10 soundtracks linked with a worldwide flavor-of-the-month.

Pretty disgusting lyrics to say the least, but I'm not too surprised since this kind of crazed anti-american sentiment seems quite common there.
