Default Mega Man 9

Teaser Trailer

So who else is looking forward to this game, and it's soundtrack? It seems it will be made within the boundaries of the NES hardware, so we get a brand new 8-bit Mega Man soundtrack, which is pretty epic all things considered.

You can hear a preview of the music in the new trailer

Hell yeah I'm totally excited about this...
Classic 8-bit Megaman = Win!!

This game will be my first Wiiware purchase, as Dr.Mario Online had me tempted, but this is an absolute must-get.

I'm hoping it gets an official soundtrack to go along with it, even if it's only a JP iTunes digital version.

Given that Inti's doing the development, I'd expect that at the very least Ippo Yamada's in on this.

If there's a soundtrack release, there's a good chance it will show up here first:

Me wants! I'll buy two copies at least! "Epic" is the right word indeed: an 8-bit game that will have commercial success... in 2008!

I wonder why they chose a strict 8-bit style

Absolutely a must-have. I've completely filled my Wii system memory with my favorite Virtual Console games but you can bet I'll be making room for this one!

A new game with the 8-bit style is great...a dream come true for all classic Mega Man fans.

E3: Hironobu Takeshia Interview
E3: Opening Intro
E3: Level 1 Gameplay
E3: Level 2 Gameplay

In a interview with 1Up it was also mentioned that the composer had worked on the old NES titles, but no name was mentioned cause they didn't ask any further.

Capcom has a nice site for the game up:

http://www.capcom.co.jp/rockman/9/

A comprehensive Rockman time line is included. Anyone want to translate? :P

The album should be out today. Does anyone know if there are any new music samples available anywhere?
