Please change vocaloid name order to first/last name in your recent submissions
e.g. Hatsune Miku -> Miku Hatsune etc. also remove the kanji for artists which have vgmdb pages on this one: http://vgmdb.net/album/39232 Thank you. |

If he only goes with the family name first order only for vocalists such as Hatsune Miku, perhaps he thinks it's official.

And yet he/she submitted the name correctly for this one:
http://vgmdb.net/album/39233 ...though I think that's the latest one from this submitter with them vocaloids, so maybe the person noticed the correct order but hasn't changed earlier submissions? btw, what would be the reason to keep the entry (39233)? perhaps lyricist yuiko? Strictly speaking, his music does not have direct connection to anime or games, but he is quite famous in the vocaloid scene and he did a remix for kz's Light Song (which was featured in the Diva Project PSP game). He's also an animator himself... |

Well you see that's the point, Hiro Kanzaki's hardly a reason to keep an original work album (meaning the one with no game/animation songs). Those other (original work) linked albums are there because of other artists - kz, ryo, Clean Tears etc. and not because of Kanzaki. He can be big in vocaloid realm, but that isn't relevant for vgmdb simply because this shouldn't be a vocaloid database.

I'm afraid this cat is out of the bag... if you start enforcing this, you'll have to delete tons of other doujin CDs which have very tenuous connections to games or anime. And that would be a pity, because VGMdb makes it very easy to find information on many of those obscure albums and see the connections between the artists. That's why I started adding all those Clean Tears albums, even though only the first few of his are strictly "on-topic" (game music remixes).
That said, I did find a game connection for HanasoumenP: his music was used in 『初音ミク and Future Stars Project mirai』 (3DS game): http://news.dengeki.com/elem/000/000/470/470797/ "ROOM-DJ(PURPLE)/Music by 鼻そうめんP" |

So the artist has made some game songs and just because of that, tons of other non-related albums should be added? It shouldn't work like that. The only time we allow full discography is if it's about major, and I mean major game/animation artists - only then it's ok to practically add anything.
Of course this isn't just about vocaloids, or doujin in general e.g. you have a jpop band/singer that has some anime op/ed songs and you start adding everything from their discography regardless of any connection to game/animation - that also should not happen. I'm not saying this all hasn't loosened up by keeping too many original works albums that are very questionable, but speaking for myself, I don't go and sweep any of the old entries, but I certainly do reject and delete some of the new very questionable entries from time to time. By very questionable I mean the ones that can't possibly have an excuse to keep no matter what. So yeah, I don't care if the cat is out of the bag if I can do at least something about it. |

This album is fine for the Hachimitsu-Lemon circle catalog.
