I'll assume this is gonna contain Hang-On and Super Hang-On at the very least, which will automatically make this a kick ass release.

It seems like actually it won't: http://www.seganerds.com/2009/08/08/...omplete-album/. "SEGA Motorcycle history album will contain music from Racing Hero, A.B Cop, Cool Riders, and Enduro Racer. Both albums will come with 2 CDs."

Can't complain, tho, even if I'm not familiar at all with any of those games. I love Wave-Master putting an effort into releasing so many "historic" compilation albums. Even moreso if they contain unreleased music. Seriously, more companies should do the same... *cooughcoughKonamiTMNTNintendocoughcough*

Ah, interesting to see that some lesser known games will be featured. Interesting release indeed.

Thanks for the content details, this really will be obscure contents then!
(probably since the super hang-on was already done...)

I was kind of hoping some Manx TT Superbike on this one, but alas.

I added some scans of the album, along with 2 different versions of the cover. I added one with gutter correction on and gutter correction removed. Gutter correction on tends to make darker regions look a little better, but it's not how it actually looks. Also, the booklet only has 2 pages. I didn't scan the discs because they don't have any artwork.

Hiro has confirmed on multiple occasions that his only contribution to Cool Riders was the sound driver and the HANG-ON arrangement, including a recent one where I asked him for clarification. Said question also brought up Makito Nomiya as composer, but whether or not Hiro's answer addressed that as well, I don't know.

Said claim comes from the game's Production credits on SEGA RETRO, contributed by Einstein95. I still don't know the source of the credits, but they seem trustworthy. (EDIT: They eventually replied that the credits come from the game's ROM)

Curiously, the recent digital reprint only credits Hiro on Main Theme (Enduro Racer) and the aforementioned HANG-ON arrangement. I suppose that could mean ENDURO RACER had at least one other unknown composer, since the Main Theme is so far the only song to have been officially credited, to my knowledge.
EDIT: I checked Hiro's Hitmaker Sound Page profile again, and he does specify that he only composed the Main Theme for ENDURO RACER.

In this tweet, Hikoshi Hashimoto indicated with a star the tracks he did for A.B. Cop and Racing Hero. I assume Kiyoshi Yokoyama did the rest. (A former colleague of Yokoyama's said he worked on both.)
