Milpo (みるぽ) references this OST in his worklist so "Mirubo" is actually Milpo, and MACK is actually MACKY (aka Yukifumi Makino) in the booklet.
http://web.archive.org/web/200111232...lpo/works.html In other words, Milpo is, without a doubt, Yoshiaki Kashima (香嶋良昭) http://www.mobygames.com/game/sega-c...nsetsu/credits Music (音楽): Kaoru Wada (和田 薫), Yukifumi Makino (牧野幸文), Yoshiaki Kashima (香嶋良昭) Last edited by kyubihanyou; Feb 7, 2011 at 08:52 PM. |

He's consistently written as Mirubo throughout the booklet and even he calls himself Mirubo, so I guess it's a variation rather a typo.
Otherwise, great detecting. |

Looking at Mobygames again I found this
Music Arrangement (音楽アレンジ) Kaoru Wada (和田 薫) I'll be taking the other two off arrangements now. |

The bottom of the booklet 3 scan credits all three with composition and arrangement, so there's a contradiction between that and the game credits.

I think it boils down to whether to interpret "Composed & Arranged" as 1.) all of these people participated in both composing and arranging, or 2.) this set of people composed and arranged, with the task divided up amongst them in some way.

As a specific case, I want to say I've never seen "composition and arrangement" grouped for multiple people when they all didn't do both, but obviously that's a terribly difficult thing to prove and it's not very common to begin with. I can point out some vocal tracks where this is the case (track 2, track 1.07, track 9), but that doesn't necessarily generalize. |

Did Kaoru Wada actually compose anything? If he did then it was Disk 1 only, correct?

I think it's still unknown. The game credits Wada with "music" and "music arrange," and the scans of this album lump him under composition and arrangement with the other two, so there's some ambiguity about his exact role. He doesn't specify what he did on his works list either.
However, I've just found out that JASRAC has credits for this album! All three are credited as composers, but I do need to point out that JASRAC occasionally credits arrangers as composers. In most cases this usually isn't a problem, but for an album like this where the roles of the artists are ambiguous, I'd recommend being a little careful with this list. Kaoru Wada: 1.01, 1.02, 1.12 Mirubo: 1.03, 1.05, 1.07, 1.09~11, 1.13, 1.14, 2.01, 2.05~8, 2.11, 2.14~20, 2.25, 2.26 MACKY: 1.04, 1.06, 1.08, 2.02~4*, 2.09, 2.10, 2.12, 2.13, 2.21~24 * 2.03 is credited by JASRAC to MACKY, which contradicts the credit to Mirubo on TIM-SMD01. And unrelated: is it correct to call disc 1 "Orchestra Arrange"? That is, are they actually arrangements, as opposed to in-game BGM that happens to be orchestral? |

Whoa, nice find. And I suppose having that info is better than none at all.
And yea Disk 1 is orchestral, and Disk 2 is MIDI-ish. Although I have no idea if they're in the game or not. |
