Seems like the composer list for this originally had a lot of "familyname givenname". I've reversed it and linked the artists where I knew they matched.

Setsuo composing Adon's theme came from the liner notes of the Rockman 2: The Power Fighters OST, which listed that he did the theme in Zero2 (most recent entry), but also applies here due to their high similarity. (Theme is completely different from Street Fighter 1 version, so Zero1 is actually the original version of Zero2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0VAgC9gC90 - Zero2 Version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI95i3M_haw - Zero Version Yuko's compositions of Rose and Nash comes from the same source. Syun composing Sodom and Gouki's themes also come from the Rockman 2: The Power Fighters OST. Like Setsuo, the Zero2 versions are credited because it was the most recent entry, but there are definitely similarities to the original versions. Sodom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwdoZblrelA - Zero2 Version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULWuadRDvvY - Zero Version Gouki http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UXDErxn3B4 - Zero2 Version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgEsXDXnAfQ - Zero Version EDIT (07/03): Unofficial breakdown: Isao: Sagat, Guy, Here Comes the New Challenger [Isao's SFII track 2 of 3], VS. [3 of 3], Opening Demo, Player Select, Stage-End, Continue, Game Over~Ranking Display Syun: Sodom, Gouki/Akuma Setsuo: Adon, Birdie Yuko: Rose, Nash Iwami: Ryu, Vega/Bison Naoshi: Ken, Chun-Li, Dan, Staff Roll 1, Staff Roll 2 EDIT (08/24): Boo Yah! I was all over Sagat, Guy, Birdie, Ken, Chun-Li, and Dan. 6/8; not bad. Last edited by kyubihanyou; Oct 2, 2010 at 09:19 AM. |

I wonder if somebody with this album or Cyberbots could check if the liner notes/credits say who is 'kuru-kuru chance IWAMI / Super 8 IWAMI'. There is no info anywhere, it's driving me mad.
Yuki Iwai would make some sense, though she was still Yuki Satomura when the albums were released. |

FIND, Kuru Kuru chance is Naoaki Iwami (岩見直明). Here a japanese link with his biography http://www.twinpower.jp/musician/iwami.html and also a photo.
Hey Kyub, who are the performers you listed? Are them voice actors? In case yes, you should link them to characters they represent. |

Katashi Ishizuka (Ryu, Dan [1/2]*) --> Uncredited in this game, but you can tell in Zero2 that it's the same voice and not Toshiyuki Morikawa (Zero3 only). Ishizuka is also Ryu in the EX Series. Toshiyuki Morikawa (Nash/Charlie) ----> Maintained through all three games Wataru Takagi (Birdie, Adon, Sodom) ---> Picks up Zangief and Gen in Zero2; his Zangief is also in EX. Tomomichi Nishimura (Vega/M. Bison, Gouki/Akuma) ---> Voices these characters every time they appear in the Zero, EX, and III series. Shinichiro Miki (Sagat, Announcer) ---> Both retained in Zero2 and Sagat only in 3; Greg Irwin replaces him as Announcer in Zero3. Yuko Miyamura (Chun-Li, Rose) ---> Voices Chun-Li throughout Zero and EX, and voices Rose up to Zero2 (Michiko Neya voices Rose in Zero3). Tetsuya Iwanaga (Ken, Guy, Dan[1/2]*) ---> Voices Guy throughout Zero and Ken throughout Zero and EX. *Dan in Zero1 is actually sampled from both Ken and Ryu's voices; Osamu Hosoi starts playing Dan in Zero2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2F2L7WYV2Jo --> Compare 0:25 to 3:35 and 0:01 to 3:37 Also, thank you for clearing up Iwami. I'm temporally removing the composer breakdown until I can re-recheck things (please don't feel bad Kyubi, for instance Oyaji doesn't say he did Final Fight arranges, just that the game features SF1, 2 and FF arranges and he did Sagat's, possibly implying that's the only thing he did)

For the record, I didn't just relate Guy to Abe because of the liner notes. Long before that, I noticed Sagat and Guy shared that same ambience, that same feel.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CNad5_e_OI - Sagat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLfggEkhn6M - Guy *Also, Guy at 1:03 is the part that convinces me with utter certainty that Abe composed The Deep –Omega Red– in X-Men: CotA From there, I noticed similarities amongst the remaining themes: -Sagat in general sounds like Opening Demo [atmosphere] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNQxxUYIVF8 - Opening Demo -Player Select and VS. share the same type of sound [trumpets] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJBrN9QmiGA - Player Select and VS. -Guy (at 1:07) sounds like VS., especially with how that last note for both is handled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLfggEkhn6M#t=1m07s - Guy -Continue, Here Comes the New Challenger, and Game Over~Ranking Display share the same type of sound [cymbals in first two; guitar in all three] -VS. and Stage-End have that "beginning and ending" relationship [trumpets] *VS. and Here Comes a New Challenger are themes that Abe handled in SFII, and has shown evidence of handling these in future incarnations (such as Zero3) along with Sagat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCtGvkiCR2c - Stage-End, Continue, and Here Comes the New Challenger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYr8bEZy9oA - Continue and Game Over~Ranking Display -Both Stage-End and Here Comes the New Challenger use a common ending cymbal, a common element used by Abe in SFII for VS. and Here Comes a New Challenger, thereby linking the two groups together to one person. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tadUqyEh9zg#t=1m23s - VS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO81BbvT_bc - Here Comes a New Challenger (at 0:06) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS9IUpeTp_Q - Sagat There are also two more things to consider about Abe: 1) He doesn't seem to want anyone else touching the three themes he did in SFII (Sagat, VS., and Here Comes a New Challenger) whenever he's in the sound team. For example, in Zero3, he handled Shining one (Sagat), Prepare (Here Comes a New Challenger), and Beginning, I'll be brief, and Last duel (the Story Demos are the closest thing to "VS."). With Sagat definitely confirmed, and his general sound being heard in most of the miscellanous themes, I wouldn't be surprised if he also did this game's incarnations of VS. and Here Comes a New Challenger. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at all if he handled his three themes in SSFII. 2) Abe is on top of the in-game music list for a reason, much like Takayuki Iwai in X-Men: CotA and other games. Surely Abe did more than just Sagat to be up there. So you see, this is mainly why I attributed Abe to all the remaining themes. Last edited by kyubihanyou; Dec 17, 2010 at 06:39 PM. |

Well, after looking in to the music with jukebox(you can disable certain channels) i found out something quite interesting. Many songs that are often credited to Isao Abe seems to have this unique distortion guitar, no one else seems to use it, all the other ones have that more grungy sounding ones(when it's used in the game), Sagat's theme is Isao Abe and uses it, but so does guy's theme, could this only further prove Isao Abe was responsible for Guy's theme? So far from what i have found is that the themes that use this guitar are:
Storm Theme: X-Men COTA(Always sondered if it was Isao, although i gave in and said Syun), Omega Red's Theme: COTA(Me and Kyubihanyou both agree this is from Isao Abe) And from this game, Sagat's theme, Guy's theme, Intro theme. Though he either doesn't always do this or someone else handled Sagat's Ending theme(Not to mention the song itself doesn't even sound Abe-ish, actually sounds a bit like Ryu's Ending theme, maybe Naoaki Iwami Handled this one?) Sorry if i am bringing this back up for a silly reason, but i gave Stage-End a good listen, and after doing so, i actually think Yuko was responsible for this one. The reason why is that i managed to get a good listen to the bass(with jukebox) and that was unmistakably a Yuko style bassline. If you have jukebox, listen to the bassline of, say, Nash's theme, as well as a few other known songs from her, like Wolverine from MvC, or Rose's ending from this game.
So yeah, my candidate for Stage-End is Yuko. EDIT: Also because it sounds along the lines of Rose's theme and Nash's theme, as well as their endings, especially Rose's Ending. |

Well I learned something new today.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkH9Ybg3SCc Composer: Tetsuya Komuro Arranger: Most likely Syun Nishigaki b/c of the sitar On that note, I've move a few other tracks to Syun based on recent confirmations: Continue (through Moon Night and Continue [X-Men: CotA]), Stage-End (through Continue) and Game Over~Ranking Display (through Sodom Stage). Stage-End transitions into Continue, Continue into Game Over, and Player Select into VS. Breakdown change time. Isao Abe: Opening Demo, Player Select, VS., Guy Stage, Guy Ending, Here Comes the New Challenger, Sagat Stage, Sagat Ending Syun Nishigaki: Gouki/Akuma Stage, Gouki/Akuma Ending, Stage-End, Continue, Sodom Stage, Sodom Ending, Game Over~Ranking Display, Dramatic Battle Setsuo Yamamoto: Adon Stage, Adon Ending, Birdie Stage, Birdie Ending Yuko Takehara: Nash Stage, Nash Ending, Rose Stage, Rose Ending Naoaki Iwami: Ryu Stage, Ryu Ending, Vega/Bison Stage, Vega/Bison Ending Naoshi Mizuta: Chun-Li Stage, Chun-Li Ending, Ken Stage, Ken Ending, Dan Stage, Dan Ending, Staff Roll 1, Staff Roll 2 Better now, right? Actually, from what i have listened to with Stage-End, i find it has more characteristics of Nash's stage. The beat is almost the same as the beginning of his theme, if you manage to mute other channels(i use nebula jukebox) and get to listen to the bass, it sounds quite similar to Yuko's style of bass, if you've listened to the style as well as bass style of many other works of her's, you'd recognize it well. It uses the same bass as in Rose's ending, and to me the song has that cross between Nash and Rose's stage feeling to it.
Again, just my guess, i could be wrong, but this is just my assumption. EDIT. Kyubi, BTW, i see that there looks to be the same thing in the SFZ1 Album, since i can't read Japanese, i'm guessing that's what it is on Page 14-15 in the manual, and if it is, can you do the same there? Pwetty pweeeez? LOL ;D Last edited by HarukameiKasumo; May 7, 2011 at 01:03 AM. |

FWIW, the first page of the booklet and the disc say "カプコン サウンド・チーム、アルフライラ" (note the comma between the sound team and the band).
