Found a number of composer errors/answers for some games here.

Disc 1 Track 28 is not composed by Masaru Setsumaru, Tomoko Sasaki and rather by Kei Tani (source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqr2l..._order&list=UL @ 1:32:16)

Disc 2 Track 8 is composed by David Leytze (source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoblM...eature=related @ 3:31). T. Kawamura is also credited with music but this song is just like Fighting Vipers so it's safe to assume who did it.

Disc 2 Track 16 is composed by Masaru Setsumaru, Naofumi Hataya (source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwHbg...eature=related @ 0:54)

Disc 2 Track 15 is possibly Tohru Nakabayashi. (source: http://www21.atwiki.jp/gamemusicbest100/pages/381.html) Not sure I can say this is conclusive as to who Dolphin is, but it could be.

Disc 3 Track 4 is not composed by Hiroshi Kawaguchi but rather Kazuhiko Nagai, Nanae Kenda, David Leytze, Masanori Takeuchi (source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6YNu...eature=related @ 3:29) Could likely be all David Leytze too.

Disc 3 Track 18 is still partially by unknown sega artist(s) but the bulk of it is an arrangement of Popcorn by Gershon Kingsley off the album Music to Moog By.

Disc 3 Track 6 isn't one I do have info on, but I am wondering where Masanori Takeuchi came from. I know he did Airline Pilots which uses the same machine so it's possible but I couldn't find anything to back it up...

Yeah, there are several Sega compilation albums like this that could use a lot of work: incomplete credits, wrong credits, not differentiating between when a composer is known and when a game's sound staff is being listed, etc.

Do you mean that the track was actually featured in Fighting Vipers, or just that it's stylistically similar to Leytze's work there? If the latter, we don't take guesses about composition like that; better to wait until there's actual proof.

I think I (through VGMdb) am largely responsible for that, but I've decided that might not be true after all. "Dolphin" composed "Wilderness" from Golden Axe, and Tohru Nakabayashi was part of Golden Axe's sound team. They could definitely be the same person, but I don't think it's impossible that multiple people worked on the game.

I think there's a decent possibility that "Dolphin" could be Yasuhiro Takagi too.

JASRAC has the entire SEGA Strike Fighter soundtrack registered to Masanori Takeuchi, which is interesting because I don't believe it was ever released on CD! Here are the track titles:
Spoiler:
EDIT: The titles are actually registered with articles at the end for sorting: "CONQUERER OF SKY A" instead of "A CONQUERER OF SKY" and "DEPARTURE TO THE SKY THE" instead of "THE DEPARTURE TO THE SKY." I've re-ordered them.

アドバタイズ (ADVERTISE)
ACROSS THAT HILL
AFTER THE WAR
AIR WALKING
A CONQUEROR OF SKY
DANIEL'S INSTRUCTION
THE DEPARTURE TO THE SKY
THE ENEMY WHOM IT APPROACHES
FINAL RESULT
FOOTSTEPS OF DESTRUCTION
GAME OVER
HIGH-SPEED DOG FIGHTING SPRIT
INITIATION
LEAVING THE NEST TO AN ACE PILOT
LEVEL SELECT
MISSION RESULT
MOP-UP OPERATION
NAME ENTRY
OPERATION EXPLANATION
THE PLANT WHICH IS BURNT DOWN
PURSUIT TO THE STRATOSPHERE
A SPIRAL FLIGHT TO TURN
STAGE CLEAR
STAGE FAILED
SUDDEN ATTACKS
A VALLEY OF THE WAR

Setsumaru's and Sasaki's old Wave Master profiles do say they composed for the game; they're credited for "sound" along with Hiroshi Kubota and Shinji Kawahira. Kei Tani did write "Jaga Jogo," though, so you're right: http://switch.wave-master.com/interview/index.html.

Stylistically very similar. David Leytze and T. Kawamura (Tomoyuki I assume) should be listed then.

As far as Dolphin I suppose it is best to stay skeptical, as I was seeing pages saying he was Tohru and others listing his real name as unknown. I wasn't aware it had been discussed already.

Thanks for the pointer on Takeuchi, never thought to search JASRAC.

Kazuhiko Nagai uploaded a track from Hoshi wo Sagashite... to his YouTube channel, so that confirms that he's ナビイス.
