So I began researching the Poteneko Academy albums since they are some of my favorite all time cds i have.
However on VGMdb it was listed as a PC game, there is no mention of it being a game or one existing based on it on the web nor the booklet (as far as i know) All things leads to it being the soundtrack of a doujinshi released by あいすとちょこ, their website even lists many different comics that shares artwork with the cd. So unless anyone has any proof their being a game based on the comic, i changed the listing to reflect it being a comic book soundtrack Maybe Comics should be added under the platform window? I know some other doujin bands have done comic soundtracks aswell |

If these soundtracks are completely unrelated to any game, then they should probably be filed under "Works".

If these soundtracks are completely unrelated to any game, then should they even be added at all? =p

We've been through this discussion before, look it up in any of the threads discussing whether certain non-game albums should be allowed in the database.
Also, "Aisuto Choko" should be romanized as "ICE & CHOCO". |

They should, since a2c, setzer and Mintjam are all pretty big names in VGM.
Is there a possibility that these comics are Visual Novels, which is a type of game? |

They're doujinshi, printed material. However, Naru Nanao (the artist) has illustrated for many visual novels (such as Da Capo from CIRCUS and more recently, the ef series from minori).

I can't find any info on it being any visual novels either, so my guess is that it is just related to the doujinshi releases.
But it is a soundtrack, comic or not, should it really be original works? It was composed to be backdrop for specific illustrations and stories. I don't have anything against the decision, just wondering how it came about. |

Well, I was talking about tte release type.
Classification - Original Soundtrack Release Type - Works There's probably some rationale for keeping the Release Type as Official Release, too. |
