Yes, finally! Some Sakimoto goodness!
I can buy this Album blindly knowing that Sakimoto is behind this! Thanks for putting up info on this, Kira. It's greatly appreciated. Speaking of Sakimoto goodness...isn't "Red Dragon" being published, soon?
Say, Kira, could you check up on this for me? We might be missing a Saki-Soundtrack...

Boooooooooooooooooooring!!

Gimme more Azusa Chiba goodness!!

So, is it confirmed that Sakimoto is the sole composer on this one? Or can we expect to also see the rest of the team joining in?

From what I have heard of Red Dragon so far there are only a few tracks - so possibly a digital ep?

Looking forward to this one, solo work or not, it's Saki on a Matsuno project which can't be a bad thing. Add the Asturias musicians, Kudo on guitar and sold!

Nope, the press release states other Basiscape members are involved.

@Cedille: Is it possible for you to explain how the other members of Basiscape are involved?
(Arrangements, composition, etc...)
This is becoming more and more interesting to me!

No idea at this moment. They could be credited as mere arrangers while practically being composers, as on Lord of Vermilion II. So wait until it arrives.

Well, after listening to the samples from their website, I think it's safe to say that this Album is going to be a winner. Basiscape has been a hit or miss, lately. It's good to see them back in the game, again. I've been waiting for Basiscape to put up samples to this game's music for awhile now and here it finally is. And if you ask me...it was worth the wait. Well, ladies and gentleman...I think I'm sold on this Album. The samples are everything I've been expecting: Absolutely Glorious!!! Will definitely buy this Album. Cheers for a great Basiscape effort. *Raises glass* :P

I don't know. Most of the stuff sounds like your regular Sakimoto to me, Sakimoto like we already heard him countless times. The only samples that does something for me is "A World Where Magic Never Was", apart from that I don't see any "greatness".

I'm still going to wait for the album release for a full evaluation, but I already have the impression that I'm not going to like it.

I like what I hear. Also, live orchestra on "Her Reputation Precedes Her".

Slightly off-topic, I really hope Level-5 gives Matsuno gets a team to himself to make another really great tactical RPG. Crimson Shroud will no doubt be good, but it can't be great. After all, you can only do so much with what are essentially digital chess pieces.

the cover has CrimsonShroud Soundtrack written on it btw
I wonder if that tiny space between Crimson and Shroud could be considered as a space

Thank you, Don, for putting up more info on this OST, it's greatly appreciated! xD

Edit: Anyone know where I can watch some gameplay footage of this game? Just wondering, that's all...

Last quarter of the video in this article

On another note, the score is available now on iTunes. [JP and EU, I haven't checked the US site yet, though I imagine it will be there]

@Phonograph (below)
I'm not sure. But I'll remove it just in case then.

Album information is updated.
You can see the PV at YouTube with English subtitle.
http://youtu.be/Q7IxXyZE6_Q
Original PV: 01:12, 1280x720 144MB(HQ), 480x272 11MB(LQ)
This is not the groundbreaking soundtrack, but it's not that bad.

Especially since it's also not the most favorable review.

I've seen them link to reviews on SEMO before, specifically for the Tower of Druaga anime album, if I remember right, and that one too wasn't really enthusiastic.

Well, at least they seem to be open to critique (assuming they know the content of the reviews).

They have English speaking employees so I'd imagine so.

this title is funny. about half of everything relevant uses or suggests "CrimsonShroud", while the other half uses or suggests "Crimson Shroud"; logo (note the kana especially), website, etc. and then we have this album which does something similar, if you feel like respecting that space seen on the front. of course, i feel like all of this is intentional, that it is done to target that stereotype that i am so dangerously close to. and, of course, localization efforts don't give one whit about any of this and just do whatever they want.

now to solve "DATAWEST".
