So it seems that tracks 2 and 3 have been getting a lot of attention. The order printed on the back cover is different in the original release than in the reprinting. Is this just a case of an error in the original tracklist, or do they actually swap those two tracks in the reprints?

It's a mistake in the printing on the original (this) release, where Splash Wave and Passing Breeze have been swapped on the tracklistings. On the disc, Splash Wave is the second track and Passing Breeze the third (this is the standard order). I don't own the reprint, but I imagine the track order is the same and they just fixed the tracklist.

This same mistake was actually made on Yu-Suzuki produce Out Run as well, as both the original and arranged versions of the tracks are swapped on the tracklist.

For reference: Splash Wave is the upbeat, energetic piece, while Passing Breeze is the slower, more laid-back one. Just listen to the first 10 seconds or so to tell.

What is the source of the information that Space Harrier was composed by "Hiroshi Miyauchi (as Hiro)"? All online sources that I can find list Hiroshi Kawaguchi as the original composer of Space Harrier, including VGMdb at places (e.g. here).

Hiroshi Miyauchi is a common alias he used back then. Appears on album credits every now and then.

My understanding is that he got married at some point, hence the name change.

Yep. It's a Japanese practice called "Mukoyōshi", for anybody who's curious.

Aren't Alex Kidd tracks arranged in this release ? It isn't Master System sound.

Edit: confirmation here : http://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=13694

But i'm not sure how to classify this. It isn't really an arrangement but the sound is synth'.

I've pointed this out before (vinyl version discussion). It's not the original music from the Master System for sure. I'd go for an additional 'Prototype/Unused' classification.

I thought this was pretty cool:

https://twitter.com/Hiro_H10th/statu...34695619571712

According to the tweet, it's a gold disc which commemorates 100,000 copies of this record sold.

If it's true that this record sold 100,000 copies, that would be pretty impressive (IMO) for a game music album.

Plate says Vol 1 and Vol 2, does that mean 100k each, or 100k both? And CD version only, or CD + vinyl + tape version?

I decided to change the classification to include Arrangement, as the commentary constantly refers to the Alex Kidd songs as that (and say that Bo made them specifically for the album, with some help from Funky K.H)
