tracklist matching as follows:
Disc 2: EX (Arcade) -> PCCB-00241 Disc 3: EX2 (Arcade) -> PCCB-00322 Disc 4: EX (Console Game) * -> I think it could be EX+ (w/o EX+a because the tracklist doesn't match PCCB-00322) Disc 5: EX2 (Console Game) -> CPCA-1038 (EX2+) Disc 6: EX3 (Console Game) -> CPCA-1042 * never released before? |

Quote:
The song titles don't match because some of the EX+a arrangements on PCCB-00322 had different names from the original songs from EX, while this album just seems to use the original EX song titles for both. The credits all match up (e.g. EX+a SPINNING BIRD is an arrangement of EX Tenkyaku Buka, and PCCB-00322 tr.28 matches this album's tr.415). |

Official site states "EX PS" which means EX +a. Also, several exclusives like "Precious Heart" were created specifically for the PS release.
Officially sold. Been waiting so many years for complete, non-game rip of the amazing EX +a soundtrack. Guessing licensing has kept any mention of "Street Fighter" at all from appearing anywhere on this. We're still missing Before Moon, Phantom Bomb and several others from the Arcade EX2 Plus which means some of these are simply reprints? Last edited by XISMZERO; Oct 29, 2018 at 09:21 AM. |

OMFG, arrangers credits for CS EX2 Plus, is this a dream?! Seeing +a finally being published is almost a miracle.
Someone should ask Hosoe about the songs from the arcade version of EX2 Plus, he seems to be an expert recording stuff from arcade boards and will be a shame not to include them in this excellent compilation. btw, here's the list of the missing tracks: Attract Phantom Bomb Frozen Mist Green Shower Digital Ignition Inifinite Earth Irene Before Moon The Battle of the Flame The Battle of the Flame 2 Regenerate (ending) Bonus Stage Last edited by KAI; Nov 1, 2018 at 09:16 AM. |

I was really liking what I was seeing until I noticed that EX2 Plus arcade was completely absent. Very disappointed, very glaring omission. Why does that particular version of the game get no respect?

Can confirm, these have all been newly remastered (noted db/gain differences as well) by Shinji Hosoe and they sound excellent (not the same mastering as previously album). As for the EX Console tracks, some editing differs from the in-game rips (specifically Light Guardian).

Light Guardian skipping at 02:03 must be a mastering issue when they tried to loop the first part twice.

The definitive version of Light Guardian without the poor sequencing is the one that presents on Street Fighter EX -Arrange Sound Trax-, which seemingly is how Hosoe wanted this version to sound like. Upon listening a few times, my brain can't smooth seam the hiccup given the years of hearing this tune over and over again on the game rip and the AST.
Ultimately, the Fighting EX Layer impresses -- lots of infectious, melodic tracks. Sadly, no credit (as per Sweep team) on the guitars and bass players? Plenty of nods to the Sweep sound, mostly, the later EX sound is present here. |

Isn't the arranged EX2 soundtrack what's really missing?
