So the album composer list says:
*Takeshi Yoshida, Toshiharu Yamanishi, Tomomi Ohtani But the game credits say: *Funky Suroujin, Omen, Yunker Matai The game's apparently exclusive to the Mega Drive. *Funky Suroujin is Toshiharu Yamanishi *Omen is (possibly) Tomomi Ohtani, but event that's doubtful given the credits in the Notes here: http://vgmdb.net/album/520 But Yunker Matai is Naosuke Arai, so who's Takeshi Yoshida? I hate conflicting game credits vs. album info...can anyone clear this up? Last edited by Liontamer; Feb 14, 2009 at 11:37 PM. |

Omen is Takeshi Yoshida.
I'm actually not particularly sure where the track-by-track credits came from. This seems to verify them. There's only one track on this album credited to Ohtani, and that's only because it's a rehash from Thunder Force II. Everything else was composed by Yoshida or Yamanishi (or in the case of #20, both), if you believe it. EDIT: That page credits #37 to Ohtani as well. You could consider it a very loose arrangement of Knights of Legend from TF2. Doesn't even have the main melody, just chords and a similar accompaniment from the first part of the tune. I think it would probably be fine (and feel more natural) to put a single " - " between the soundtrack sections, rather than the elongated space, which looks kind of odd.

Sicne that album is now being owned by a good number of users..
Would be nice if someone could provide better scans since we got really ugly ones. |

I do have better scans, but I tried uploading them a while ago only to find they were too big. Let me try again.
EDIT: And done! (had to resize some a bit) Enjoy them

I am curious to know if the Technosoft Store webpage is kinda new or is it an outdated page?
I can't read Japanese but it would be sweet if they are (still) selling these awesome albums ?! |

Wow, it's definetly not been like that for a very long time. For years there's only been cryptic messages on there, sort of like: "Thunder Force is a registered trademark, please be patient".

Neat - I've been getting into Technosoft's soundtracks in the last few days, and I do wonder if they're planning to release some new stuff with its latest "revival".

Fixed errors, removed placements (I don't know what you'd call them) for some reason. If anyone wants to add those back in, that's fine; something just doesn't seem right.

I believe the web shop is still selling CDs, but they are sold out of all of the Thunder Force albums (other than the Best of Thunder Force).
However, prices for these CDs have gone down dramatically on YJA. I saw a TF III album selling for 2700 yen last week. |

question
do they ship to the US also? cause that's where I live

I don't think so. I've always gone under the impression that unless a website specifically says (in English) that they ship to the US, you would need to get a middleman.

Does anyone know who, exactly, did the arrangements for this album (#39-#42)?
The credits aren't very specific. It's very likely that the original composers are responsible, but I just want to be sure. To me, they kinda sound like Hyakutaro Tsukumo might've done them. Thanks. |

Sadly, almost none of the Technosoft albums actually credit an arranger, including this one.
I don't know when Tsukumo joined the company, so I'm not sure if he was around early enough to arrange the music on this album. His first game was Hyper Duel in 1993. |

That makes sense, logically. You're probably right about when he joined their staff.
The arranged version of "Stand up against myself" reminds me a lot of the work he did for the Saturn version of Nekketsu Oyako. |
