I'm there day 1!! It's weird how Gotcha Force and this game got soundtrack pressings so later on. Wonder what factored into this decision (the no soundtrack thread?) since the Gotcha Force game at least got a repress in Japan to bundle the soundtrack with. Great news.

<3s me some MMNT. Really glad to know this is being released.
Since I'm an insufferable dolt I'm going to post my composer guesses before the details are released. I changed them a little from the guesses I made a couple of years ago... Theme of MEGAMAN NETWORK TRANSMISSION - Hosoe (Correct) Relaxation - Yasui (Correct) In the Room - Saso (Correct) Internet Area: Basic Stage - Hosoe (Correct) Blazing Internet: Fire Man Stage - Yasui (Correct) Garden System: Needle Man Stage - Yasui (Correct) Electric City: Bright Man Stage - Saso (Incorrect) Water Service Bureau: Ice Man Stage - Hosoe (Correct) Bank System: Quick Man Stage - Hosoe (Incorrect) Game Center: Color Man Stage - Saso (Correct) Power Plant: Elec Man Stage - Yasui (Correct) Suspicious Events - Saso (Incorrect) Old Generation Area: Sword Man Stage - Hosoe (Incorrect) Abnormal Gravity Area: Gravity Man Stage - Saso (Incorrect) Zero Gravity Area: Star Man Stage - Hosoe (Correct) Navi Battle - Yasui (Correct) Victory! - Saso (Correct) Stage Clear / Eye-catch - Saso (Correct) Zero Account - Zero Stage - Hosoe (Correct) VS. Zero - Yasui (Correct) Threat Arises - Saso (Incorrect) Legendary WWW Area: Pharoah Man Stage - Saso (Correct) Demolished WWW Area: Shadow Man Stage - Saso (Correct) The Undernet - Final Stage - Hosoe (Correct) Firewall Battle - Hosoe (Incorrect) Hero Theme - Yasui (Incorrect) VS. Life Virus R - Hosoe (Correct) Epilogue - Zero reforms - Saso (Correct) Ending Theme - Yasui (Correct) Game Over - Yasui (Incorrect) Rockman no Thema ~Kaze Wo Tsukinukete~ (TV Size) - I guess none of them composed this but if any of them did it'd be Yasui I think. (not on OST) Unknown - Yasui (not on OST) edit: tallied up my score. lol

It seems that for both SRIN-1105 and SRIN-1107 that the SweepRecord pages state it will be released Nov. 2nd (am I right?), but the emails that I got yesterday and today state something along the lines of:
発売日:2012年11月30日(金) タイトル:ゲームミュージック ディスカバリーシリーズ ロックマン エグゼ トランスミッション サウンドトラック 定価:2,625円 (税抜 2,500円) ジャンル:ゲームミュージック 仕様:音楽CD 1枚組 製品番号:SRIN-1105 Should we keep the release date the same as it is or change it to Nov. 2nd? EDIT: Hosoe tells me that Nov. 2nd is pre-sale release. Nov. 30th is general release. Last edited by Don; Oct 10, 2012 at 08:48 AM. |

Sweet. I think you were about 70% right, lunar~ (mostly Hosoe/Saso mixups)
I've never bothered to source check every track in the game, but there are a few reprises in the soundtrack. The ones I remember are the title theme (an arrangement of Akari Kaida's original "THEME OF ROCKMAN EXE" from the first MMBN game) and a MM4 Pharaoh Man quote in Legendary WWW Area (Minae Fujii). |

That's a trip. I was 99.9% sure that Saso did Internet Area, based on how much I love the woman's music and how well I (think I) know her style. But Yousuke Yasui's credit in it as well is pretty interesting. One composed, one arranged or something...? Or, they co-composed... however it is you do that.
Also the Pharaoh Man rearrange is so good man. |

The two tracks that Yasui & Saso are co-credited for both contain two pieces of music, so my guess is one composed one part and the other composed the other part. They're credited in SuperSweep's blog entry as "Yousuke Yasui ~ Ayako Saso" both times, so I'd think that Yasui composed the first parts (Net on Fire and Navi Battle) and Saso composed the second parts (Eyecatch and Clear).
I could just be pulling that out of my butt, of course. |

Someone just edited the release date for this and Dodonpachi. As stated above, the Nov. 2nd release is just the pre-sale release. General release is still Nov. 30th - I assume we use that date rather than the earlier date. Unless the general release date as changed since then...

The date should be whenever the album is made available from Supersweep's store. If you live in Japan and pre-ordered it you have it! My copy was received in Japan earlier than the Nov. 2nd release date. So the release date is earlier than that. Now my copy is on its way to America.

Well, it's about darn time. Any other vendors selling this that I can buy from easier? I have little to no help purchasing soundtracks like this if they are not sold on online vendors like Yes+Play/-Asia or CD Japan.

I imagine it will be sold on CDJapan (and probably put on the website later). Dragon Spirit was pre-sold in September on the Sweep store with general release late October (as sold on CDJapan). Give it a week or so and see if CDJapan updates.

Oh HAHA wow I somehow never noticed the Japanese text on the front cover until three seconds after I rejected that title edit, sorry about that.

It's unbolded text. Can we not include it in the title of the soundtrack? It looks ugly. I know by past accounts here -- Rolling Thunder 2's soundtrack has a similar header in front of it -- that this is a standard procedure but I strongly disagree with it. I think of it as extraneous text like if Bare Knuckle Original Soundtrack had "Yuzo Koshiro presents..." in small text above the games' album title.
I think it would look better and be more appropriate in the notes as "game music discovery series". I'm certainly not going to have that long title -- it's longer and has more capital letters than every other Rockman soundtrack release title -- in my iTunes library or submission to discogs.

The other Game Music Discovery Series albums don't have the series title as part of the album title on the obis and spine flaps, so I suspect this one won't either. But this is also the first album in the series that has it printed in English and Japanese on the front cover, so I'm totes okay with keeping it until we can verify what's on the rest of the packaging.

yeah it's driving me nuts just looking at it but what can you do?
the thing with rolling thunder 2 is that the "header" is on the obi and everywhere else; it's part of the album's title. if that was done with bare knuckle original soundtrack, i'd keep it! it might be done here, it's presented as if it would be. (what does unbolded text have to do with anything...? besides, it probably IS bolded, just in a small font size) there's one exception i can think of, and that's something like xak perfect package: the tower of gazzel. chz: now that you mention it, is there a way to search for discovery series albums? maybe there should be a "products represented" for the series. i guess you could advanced search, but... also i'd have to add that to the notes of a lot of albums to begin with |

Nothing like the smell of a new cd. ^_^ The liner notes include the list of gear used to make the music.

I don't think there will be a difference. Only one catalog number that I know of, despite CDJapan stating differently.
