I decided to go with the proxy route for this one. dancey is right about the situation. The only one who could probably clarify the whole situation is SQEX itself, but good luck with that. I don't blame CDJapan, they probably just receive instructions from the distributor and then have to comply.

Let It Go confirmed on Disc 4, vocalist for the Japanese version, according to the credits for Frozen, is Takako Matsu, who also voiced Elsa in the movie.
Based on the scene in the game, it is NOT the ending version by May J. from the ending credits. There is a Japanese game music wiki that lists Takako Matsu as vocalist as well, and I can confirm through cast listing online that Matsu voiced Elsa.

Shouldn't Skrillex and Jason "Poo Bear" Boyd be added to the composer and arranger fields if they were responsible for the Face My Fears tracks?

Some arrangers for Disc 7 and 8 are also missing as well as the original composers of "Let It Go" and "Winnie the Pooh"

I added everyone that was missing to the respective fields based on the breakdown in the notes. They're not in the order of appearance though, but should I re-list them based on that, or is it fine as is?

Order of appearance doesn't matter but it personally annoys me as well. I'm sure this has been requested before but maybe there could be a way to arrange without having to delete and re-add?

Order of appearance isn't intuitive. BGM composer should always be listed first on soundtracks, not the theme song composer.

I pre-ordered it at Yesasia.

Shouldn't the last four composers (Sherman Brothers and Lopez duo) be in blue color as "featured artists" with their reprises?

Yeah, probably. Randy Newman wasn't entered as well.

Oh BTW, it's out on iTunes, Spotify, etc. |

Digital version at least in the States excludes "Chikai" and "Face My Fears" proper it looks like, but includes English version in addition to the Japanese version of "Let It Go" (along with both "Hikari" and "Simple & Clean" Ray of Hope mixes)

So, this box is for five different games, right? Which disc is for which game? Is it just all over the place?

1-6 for base KH3, 7 for Re Mind, 8 for the others
There's one Re Mind track with the base game tracks (5-19 Forze Del Male -Dark Riku-) for some reason, possibly because said track is an arrangement of a cutscene track that plays at that point in-game. I really hope there's a PLUS-style soundtrack for the missing stuff at some point… Last edited by Kalavinka; Nov 11, 2020 at 07:08 PM. |

I've made a couple of edits to the album info a few days ago and they're still pending apparently.
Can someone help me check and approve them? Oh, it's all info from the official website by the way. |

However, I did notice that the lyric translator for the Japanese version of Let It Go, Chikae Takahashi, isn't mentioned in the notes even though she's credited on the website. Can anyone confirm this from the album notes? |

Took a look at the Rhapsody (6-15) and the credits say
RECORDING SECTION Orchestration & Conducting: Kaoru Wada <Disc1-1,2,3 / Disc2-1 / Disc6-13,15> but the arranger is listed as only Shimomura. Should Kaoru Wada be given arranger credit for that track as well, or am I misunderstanding the difference between the role of arranger and orchestrator? |

If you think arranger and orchestrator have the same function, then yes, you're misunderstanding.

Now in this context 'orchestrator' means they are the person that specifically puts the notes on paper to each instrument but will usually include SOME facet of arrangement, depending of how the original composer presented the work before said orchestration and what is required. It can range anywhere from 'does most of the instrumentation work' to 'being a glorified copyist'. |

Yeah: I understand an 'orchestration' is a more specific term for a kind of arrangement (lit. 'arrangement for orchestra') --my point was that in previous KH games, Kaoru Wada is credited as arranger AND orchestrator for the credits medleys (i.e. https://vgmdb.net/album/22167, 2-25), and that seems to have been the case again here

Can someone add Hirosato Noda, Sebastian Schwartz, and Hikaru Taniyama as programmers in the extra credits? I can't find the option edit the extra credits.
In the notes/booklet, Hirosato Noda and Sebastian Schwartz are credited as synthesizer operators while Hikaru Taniyama is credited as lead audio programmer. maruni studio and 01073 HOUSE are also credited as mixing studios. I'm not sure what other roles are there in the extra credits. |
