Added English tracklist (same as the FFVI OSV one)

In a cruel twist of fate, Square Enix are giving away an exclusive sticker sheet to Japanese purchasers who buy all three remastered soundtracks.
Even you manage to import all the slipcased first-print editions, your FF SNES remaster collection will never be complete! |

meh it's just stickers.

Is this remaster worthy for owners of the original soundtrack? It's still on 3CD so it's not like they added much space.

I don't think it's a must have, but as someone who owns (and loves) the original pressing of the 94 release, I think this is a really nice update packaging-wise. The remastering is subtle but still noticeable enough for me that that's a bonus as well.

Could someone who listened to that describe the remaster work on this release ?

If it is, then it's officially endorsed.

They do have the occasional typo for these (FF6 or even make a new one - Mgitek), not exactly full quality checking.
On the GBA port for example (from 2007, certainly closer to the time when SE put the digital version on iTunes) it's still Narshe and pretty much all the other tracks have the same title as on iTunes but typo (or whatever it was) free. Spoiler:
Of course, not that any of this matters for the default tracklist here because it's printed Nalsh (among other things). |

Is there a reason why the iTunes version was not picked as the default tracklist?

Not here because the printed English tracklist is present which takes the priority, regardless of others (according to the first post of this topic).

Just a heads up, this soundtrack is representative of the Android/iOS version of the game, not the SNES/Famicom version.
As such, iOS and Android should be placed in the represented platforms, not SNES/Famicom. Same goes for the IV and V Remaster Versions. |

Unless I'm missing something ... no? The obi specifically says this is a remaster of the SNES soundtrack, and I don't see ios/android mentioned anywhere except for a QR on the obi back, which were probably added in later printings since they were released after this album (jan/feb 2014).
Maybe what you mean is that this remaster was used as soundtrack in the ios/android versions? Even if that's the case, it's not a reason to add the platforms here. Last edited by Illidan; Jun 6, 2016 at 07:59 AM. |

Seems like the typo on iTunes was corrected since then, as it now reads "Narshe" as intended.

Sounds practically identical to me. Remastered version is slightly louder overall.

Anyway, should the title be changed from "The Mines of Neshe" to "The Mines of Narshe" in track list 75659 now? Guess it's no use to keep the typo, especially since its correction is documented in this thread. Edit: More typo information found here. Last edited by zierts; Sep 1, 2022 at 02:26 PM. |

In a fun twist of fate, Squeenix seems to have re-translated the English titles in the booklet of the latest printing. It now uses the iTunes translation (Omen, The Mines of Narshe, etc.).
I don't have a scanner available, but here's a phone photo for reference: https://imgur.com/a/eDvilBE

Ooh, I wonder if that holds true for IV and V as well. Part of me would love to buy copies, but I think I should try to remain content with the revival discs.

I bought V at the same time from Amazon.co.jp and it had no changes, X-death lives on.

They made a slight typo there with "Mgitek Research Facility". Idk if it's in the other releases as well. Last edited by Mac_Tear; Oct 13, 2023 at 12:30 AM. |

oh, RIP. That said, those are actually the "current" localizations for those songs. I believe the Pixel Remasters, digital versions & the Revival Disc use "X-Death" and "Reina" still. They never updated them from that. :/
