Can anyone provide any more insight on this statement:

For this album, it's correct to credit Motoaki Furukawa for composition and arrangement. He created it, people mostly external to Konami performed it. It wasn't until quite a bit later that a more consistent Kukeiha Club line-up formed.
On that note, Kukeiha Club ~ Hope strangely credits the composers as arrangers despite the additional notes being right. The composer as 'Konami Kukeiha Club' is also wrong no matter what the definition is of that confusing term. If it's treated as the generic Konami sound team name, no Konami game compositions are featured. If it's treated as the band's name, it should be 'Kukeiha Club' -- it's only 'Konami Kukeiha Club' when it's covers. |

So are you saying that, even though the album is called Kukieha Club, it wasn't really performed by Kukeiha Club, because they didn't exist as a cohesive unit until later?

It's still a Kukeiha Club album even though its performers aren't the cohesive unit and there are cover tracks. However, it's more like another Motoaki Furukawa solo album in terms of composition and arrangement.
The history and terminology of the Kukeiha Club is pretty confusing. The Konami sound team has been variably referred to as the 'Kukeiha Club' and 'Konami Kukeiha Club' since some of their earliest releases. But the 'Kukeiha Club' is also a original jazz fusion band. It evolved from a group of studio musicians into a cohesive unit and finally into the jazz fusion cover band the 'Konami Kukeiha Club' bringing the three part pro-fusion series. It was disbanded when Furukawa was moved to some obscure division in 1998. By the way, I'm definitely not a Kukeiha Club expert although I'm pretty sure all this is right. I still don't know that much about their performances and whatnot so will try to do some research. To be honest, I find their music and anything by Motoaki Furukawa since 1990 overrated, though his collaborative shooter works before than were cool. |

Okay, I've processed the updates, since they seem to represent the best that we know, but I added Kukeiha Club back in as a performer.

Does someone could identify this composer?

林登茂美 could be "Tomomi Hayashi". Can't confirm though.
Also, it seems like she's supposed to be the lyricist rather than the composer. Maybe someone who owns the reprint can check. |

Thanks for the kanji transcription, Gigablah. I believe that this person is really the lyricist, because this track has background vocal. I hope someone could confirm this information in the reprint booklet.

I must also add that nowhere in the book do I see official sources to the Konami titles these are inspired by. Yes, the resemblances are obvious for most but "One Night In Neo Kobe City" as the arrangement for "Tell Me A Reason"? I don't hear it.
I would proclaim we make a note of how these are not official arrangements as there's no claim to it in print, merely inspirations. |

This album was released nearly 2 years before Snatcher was released on the PC-Engine, which is the first version of Snatcher to contain One Night in Neo Kobe City. EDIT: Unless...One Night in Neo Kobe City is really Tell Me The Reason. If one assumes that the PC Engine version of Snatcher used the song on this album as inspiration, then there is no conflict. I would still dispute this as an arranged album. There's no sources of games on here. I'll say they're heavily influenced by said games (Return to Departure and Shuffle in the Dark), but no official mention of Gradius and Castlevania II.
