I'm not really sure about the origin of this music (if it's in-game music or what) but there's some more information available here.

Apparently it's all his own compositions, so "official release" should be fine here.

so it's all his own stuff, that was used *in* Sorcerian, but published outside of Falcom?

I'm trying to get a good feel for this album. I'd never heard of it before.

anyone know the answer to this question? Is this music officially used in Sorcerian titles of some sort, but unpublished on Falcom's part? Did Falcom have any legal issues with the printing of this CD that we know of?

This is so strange that we're only unearthing this CD now, almost a decade later.

Well I found the answer myself.

"Selected Sorcerian" is a series of expansions developed by Amorphous, instead of by Falcom. However, apparently these games were still "legitimate" licensed Sorcerian games. See:

So it's a soundtrack to the multi-volume "Selected Sorcerian" expansions. So now we know what games to list this as an OST for!
