I did not want to add such kind of albums before..
Sounds a bit arranged to me, and it sounds as cheap as such kind of albums we did not take. Either way, i don't think they had any rights to distribute original Square music so it must be some kind of doujin. |

After listening to the samples, I have to agree that it sounds somewhat arranged (and truly cheap). Plus, "San Juan Music Group"? Never heard of them before.

I apologize if I added something that's not accepted, although I'm slightly confused about the "reasons": isn't the purpose of VGMdb to catalogue each release related to VGMusic, may it be bootleg/doujin/official? Do the albums have to pass some sort of "quality-test"? If that's the case, the definition of music-quality is rather personal.

That it is, but releases like this are quite dubious at best to be kept in the database.
I'm sure you meant no harm, so there's no need to apologize. |

It's identical to the crapfest that is The Best of Final Fantasy 1994-1999: A Musical Tribute (the predecessor to Music Inspired by Final Fantasy).
It's fan-arranged and not officially licensed, despite the misleading presentation otherwise. |

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

Actually, now that you mention it, and looking over at both entries, this one in particular seems to be a digital reprint of that one. Not sure if such is the case, as I'm basing my guess on the tracklists. EDIT: Seems to be the case after eying "Music Inspired by Final Fantasy". So this is basically an unauthorized digital upload of an already unlicensed fan-arrange album. Maybe it should just be mentioned in the notes for Final Fantasy 1994-1999.

Everything seems to indicate it is.
Agreed and done. |

I think we should mention it this entry too.
Also, should we add this entry as a child album if we keep it ? |

If I understood SS correctly, he essentially meant to delete this entry and simply make mention of it in the notes for Final Fantasy 1994-1999. They're basically the same, just happen to be named differently.

Yeah, I was thinking we should delete this album, since it's essentially a set of mp3s ripped from someone else's album and offered for sale without any rights.

I am personally fine with this, this kind of entries should not be added

Actually, I believe the same guy was behind all three of the releases (Final Fantasy 1994-1999, Music Inspired by Final Fantasy, Choice Video Game Soundtrack Cuts), but rebranded them each time. These albums are all really deceptive in their marketing and not officially licensed, though, so I still think these works are rip-offs.
