Besides that, I hear these interviews are finally revealing what "jdk" stands for. Definitely curious.

So... do anybody know if there's any interesting info about Ishikawa in Falcom Music Chronicle?

Also, I *think* I've found another photo of her. This comes from Yukihiro Jindo's 39th birthday, on 2 Oct 2012:

From left to right: Toshiharu Okajima, Yukihiro Jindo, Masayuki Kato, Noriyuki Kamikura and *supposedly* Mieko Ishikawa. I have no idea who the guy with the glasses is.

I've been wondering what exactly Ishikawa did on Gurumin. It should be noted that she didn't compose any music since the description gives the implication she did. Now a lot of sources are just saying she was a composer for that game.

And how is it confirmed Sorcerian Forever was the last game she composed for before retiring? I have not been able to find any interviews by her.

And shot outs for her work in the Sega Mega Drive version of Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. It has great original songs but no soundtrack release. Looking through Falcom's vgm history, she definitely doesn't get enough recognition for how much of a significant composer she was. Ishikawa is often forgotten, kept in Koshiro's shadow or not even mentioned at all. Maybe if Falcom valued composer credits more this would not had been the case.

Most of the info comes from Japanese websites (who do not always credit their sources), and bits and pieces collected from game credits and liner notes. She's only mentioned as "sound director" in Gurumin or something along those lines. Her quitting composing coincides with the time she got promoted to a higher company position within Falcom. She is indeed a great composer, kept in Kushiro's shadow as you say only because she never tried to push her name forward, quite on the opposite of Koshiro. I mean, we do owe the lady Ys 3.
