I'm quite looking forward to this one . Some of the arrangers on the list are quite a surprise. Kenji Ito and Burning Halloween Town? That, to me, sounds like a beautiful piano piece in the making!

More Yack and Yamaoka is also a good thing! Hey, and look! It's Nakano's first gig since leaving Square Enix. Still arranging though :/

Whoa, Soyo Oka.

Looking forward to Nakano's contribution.

In the notes section, should the "fifth track is from DLC" be "fifteenth?" I presume that's why it's a mystery.

I want this, but...

"Released at the next online Cave Maturi"

...I have a feeling it will be hard for me to get.

My bad.

I'm still not clear about the artists of the 10th and 13th tracks (e.g. couldn't Yamaoka just be a guitarist?). Maybe I'll wait for a further announcement or until somebody shares the inner information here. Apparently, other additional tracks from the Xbox 360 port (such as the menu screen theme or the boss theme) aren't released this time.

Nice to see this going official. So... who / what is Monster Zoo?

According to TECHNOuchi, he offers additional elements while Eriko Imura is the main arranger. I'd consider this similar to Satoru Kosaki's arrangement on Mushihimesama Double Arrange (via the liner notes). Still have no clue about Yamaoka.

Update on Yamaoka:

Hi Don,
Monster Zoo is a mythical team
This sound making oneself!

Presumably, that last sentence means that he's doing all the arranging himself. No idea why he chose to use an alias though.

My English isn't strong enough to interpret it, but apparently it's not safe to add either Monster Zoo or Yamaoka as the arranger right now Perhaps We may assign and link artists without the two for now, and whoever turns out to be (a) real arranger(s) of the 10th track will be inserted after a definitive information (a booklet or such) arrives.

Another one already, huh? Guess I can't complain (other than the fact I need to make preparations por another Matsuri). And it's got an extremely promising line up: Koshiro, Ito, Fukui and Kikuta. Consider me sold.
It will also be very interesting to see how Oka stands up after such a long disappearance. A former Nintendo composer arranging CAVE music... I thought I wouldn't see something like this.

Two bonus themes are attached to it:

15. 360menu Xbox 360 menuより(高見龍)
16. ??? Xbox 360 MBLVer1.1より(高見龍)

http://www.cave-shop.jp/item/4692.html

Couldn't add that 16th track when I edited the tracklist.

Also for Yuzo Koshiro, it has:

古代祐三 / Vo 織姫さくら

A vocalist perhaps?

Fixed it.

So, as expected, it's Takami. I assume "???" is the Bloody Jitterbug theme.

The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Deathsmiles that is coming out in the U.S. comes with an Arranged Album. Are these going to be the same arranged soundtracks? If so I wont need to worry about tracking this one down since I have 3 LE Deathsmiles pre-ordered.

[Edit]Nevermind I believe the Limited Edition soundtrack that will be shipped with the game is this one http://vgmdb.net/album/10899

The name of the singer for that track is wrong in the booklet. It says Sakura Orihime, but actually it is Yozora Orihime.

it's out it's out it's out it's out i

edit: didn't want to bump with a new post - just a mini evaluation of the album. very cool. while i must confess that i was lukewarm to some of the tracks (though there was nothing bad on the album), the five names that excited me most when i saw this release all delivered spectacularly. strangely, their tracks are all pretty typical of each of them too. Kikuta's track has piano work alarmingly similar to his Seiken Densetsu scores, oodles of parallel 4ths and arpeggiations. Junya Nakano's sounds like it could work well in Musashi Samurai Legend or Final Fantasy X, with those massive string voicings. Soyo Oka's tune sounds pretty similar to her work in more recent years, like for the Nurse Witch Komugi-chan anime or PS2 game. The second half of TECHNOuchi and Eriko Imura's collaboration is wonderful, that was an utter joy to hear, and very typical of Ms. Imura's writing style, could happily have appeared in Klonoa. As for YACK... well, it sounds like YACK so it's awesome.

this release still seems surreal. I find it hard to believe that five of my favourite game composers would appear on one release and all write things that show them at their best.

Could someone please tell me which tracks are arranged? Are all the tracks arranged apart from the bonus tracks?

Track 1 gets my vote for most badass guitar work in a Cave arranged album.

Would anyone in this forum be so kind as to write the piano sheet for the whole Waltz of the Aristocrat Ghosts arrangement? It's beautiful... and there's probably someone in here with enough time that will do it JUST for me!
Pretty please...? =)

Heck, if you contacted Eriko Imura on twitter, she might be kind enough to straight-up give you a midi sequence. It is absolutely lovely, though, I agree
