Apparently the first disc contains arrangements by Elements Garden. Not sure whether discs 2 and 3 contain recycled OST bgms or whether it's all new stuff. I assume the former, because otherwise the game has a ridiculous amount of music (for a handheld)!

Hopefully we can get a translation to check this out.

Edit: Oh. According to the GMR page, discs 2 and 3 contain all new music. Wow. What's that, 114 tracks altogether? That's more than GSII's soundtrack.

Miura says it contains the arranged stuff (disc1) and everything the first soundtrack failed to include (disc2 and disc3).

I suppose there's no composer avaible for this like the original soundtrack has on it's discussion thread.

No help from JASRAC this time around. It's a pity.

I found arranger credits for the first disc, but I couldn't verify them. I'll put them here just in case:

Junpei Fujita: 01~04, 08
Hitoshi Fujima: 05~07, 09, 10
Norikazu Miura: 11~13

The composer credits are also probably off, because Iwata said in an interview all his music would be featured in the (first) OST.

Thanks Dag, those arrangement credits are useful.

Probably true. There isn't anything in this volume that sounds like Iwata except "Librarian"--but I think that's Komuro's. Plus it's reprise on disc 3, "As the Librarian..." sounds nothing like Iwata.

However, Miura, Komuro, Aoki, Fujita, Fujima, and Kikuta all belong on the composer credits due to their confirmed tracks from the first volume appearing as arrangements on disc 1. Most of these composers are also certainly represented by other tracks on the album. Hirono probably belongs here too--compare his "Quest Success" from the first volume to "Shopping" from this one.

Since this soundtrack was released I've had the sneaking suspicion that Yoshino Aoki is the composer of 2.02 and 3.03, the "Tenkai Star" themes. They are just so her style, in every way, there's no way it could be anyone else.

So I decided to go ahead and confirm this with Aoki directly! Her reply:

Thank you for your e-mail.

Yes, I composed that two tunes. So the two tunes is the same music.
It has a different arrangement.

How did you know that? I'm glad to hear from you.

Sincerely yours,

Yoshino Aoki

Any recent arranger credits available for this release? I'm curious, as it's kinda hard to find out. Anyone is able to ask Miura on twitter or Facebook?

EDIT

Added the arranger breakdown (same as post 6). I'm sure it has come from the booklet

The arranger breakdown is already available, however, I don't know if it's official. See post #6
