This person is rumored to be Hideki Naganuma.
Circumstancial evidence: - Jet Set Radio's Hummin' the Baseline by Naganuma was referenced in Air Gear's Not Hummin' But Vibin' by skankfunk. In Air Gear's liner notes, skankfunk says the track is a homage to a certain track, those that get it are quite hardcore. - Assuming he himself did the MySpace page, he lists "Hideki Naganuma" as his influences... - The album dates seem to match too. - Naganuma has Hyd Lunch, scatgoto and a bunch of Ryu ga Gotoku series collaborators added on his Twitter. Maybe he's the link between them and Sega? Last edited by Dag; Sep 23, 2011 at 11:54 AM. |

This appears to be Hideki Naganuma's YouTube account: http://www.youtube.com/user/mojahoihoi/. I'm not sure he's straight up admitted he's the one uploading videos, but he's linked them a bunch on Twitter and Facebook, and if he's not the one behind the channel then whoever is has inside information on things Naganuma has composed.
So interesting thing about this YouTube account: he's liked exactly four tracks from Kurohyo: Ryu ga Gotoku Shinsho. ... these are the four tracks by skankfunk. |

There's an interview with Skankfunk somewhere on the internet (in Japanese).. I remember that his backstory and influences were the same as Naganuma's...
Naganuma also mentioned a couple of times on Twitter and Facebook that he worked under another name for an anime soundtrack, and although he wouldn't give any details, shortly afterwards he "liked" Air gear and Skankfunk on facebook. ..Is that enough evidence? Obviously he has his (contractual) reasons for not being able to confirm this, so it's best not to bug him about it. |
