I finally decided to put together an artist page search, which should make should make things a little easier for identifying Japanese artists for creating links. I realized that at least I needed it when I was using Google to search for Kanji names on VGMdb.

If you'd like to try it out, it's found at the bottom of the advanced search page. This new form searches all artist fields (first and last names in english, kanji, and hiragana) for the searchstring. It also searches the concatenated last and first kanji names, so you can enter the full multicharacter kanji name, and it'll find the artist.

It doesn't do aliases yet. I'll need to figure out how to handle those....

The search doesn't work for a few names, I've noticed. Examples: 来兎 (Raito), 結月そら (Sora Yuizuki), and 綾菓 (RyoRca).

That's probably because I have yet to run the UTF-8 conversion on the artist database. It'll be done soon, maybe by Thursday.
