Does anyone have the original releases of these albums? How were they "remastered" for this box, and does this album match up with disc 4?

I don't own the separate soundtracks but I do own this box set. The RayForce Remastered on disc 1 compared to the original arcade PCB board on disc 4 sounds much much better, a lot cleaner sounding and also most of the songs are longer in the remastered. The synths just sound way better in the remaster than the PCB versions. Not to say that the remastered songs are a huge overhaul on the synths they just don't sound as rough as the PCB versions. I perfer the remastered tunes myself.

Is the remaster perhaps a release of the Layer Section rearrange? It's a very delicate arrange, only slightly touched up, just as with the graphics.

Not sure, I don't have the Saturn version.

This box is, presumably, "remastered" versions of this, this, and this. What I want to know is how "remastered" they are, and whether the later release of disc 4 in this box is identical (sans the bonus tracks of course).

Since that RayForce album came out alongside the game yet is entirely different from the PCB audio, I wonder if it's the "original" versions of the songs, kinda like DonPachi.

I did a quick comparison and Disc 1 is a remaster of the music from this album: http://vgmdb.net/album/1251 (seems to be identical to the Layer Section soundtrack), with more power and high-end. Sounds great. Both releases of the album also feature a track called "Experiment 2 - Destructive of Power" that wasn't in either the original game or the Saturn port.

So it really is different from the original disc, cool. Does anyone have the "original release" of the other discs in this box?
