The Players' Score: A Videogame Music Documentary

This is a thing, and it's now seeking Kickstarter funding and is at about 50%:

Lots of game music cover bands, chiptune artists, and composers have already been recorded. This is happening regardless of funding, but funding would ensure that some of the Japanese participants are able to take part!

This is over the 75% mark now, with less than a week left. It's likely that the goal will be met at this point, but would be nice to get the team out to Japan to record some of the Japanese interviews in person.

I like the "rise" of these documentaries. Maybe Game Music will be more recognized after this one and the BEEP be complete.
