Is it really has no connection with The Five Star Stories? After all, it has "The Five Star Stories" logo on the back cover and obi...

FOOL for THE CITY (FfTC) was written one year before The Five Star Stories (FFS).

FfTC story is mainly about music as Nagano is a great fan of it, especially rock / progressive rock. The manga's name itself comes from a song of the UK band Foghat. But there are also some characters who have names from real musicians...

He would continue doing this in FSS (isn't "Mortar Headd" just an alternate reading of the band Motörhead....)

Now, retrospectively, yes, we can clearly say FfTC is related to FSS. Nagano re-used some concept / characters / world in FSS.

The Five Star Stories logo on the back cover and obi; that's just for marketing purpose for these remasters. It was not there on the original releases.

Thank you for clarification. I was a little confused when this album disappeared from the list of related to other FSS albums.

Credits made of the booklet credits photo + Original LP + FOOL for THE CITY for uncredited artists.

There is a discrepancy between liner notes writer. My guess is that Atsushi Yabe should have been credited for the 2012 versions... Who knows?
