I've compiled a list of the BGM titles feature in both the Japanese and English Sound players of every Boktai game. Keep in mind that Boktai 3 was never officially released outside of Japan, and thus the English titles are instead taken from the unofficial English patch.

Boktai

"Boktai" is a portmanteau of the series full Japanese title, "Bokura no Taiyō" ("ボクらの太陽,") which translates to "Our Sun" in English.

"太陽" would translate to "Sun," not "Our Sun."

"館内" would translate to "Inside the Mansion" or "Mansion Interior," not "In the Dark."

"血の伯爵" ("Count of Blood") appears to be an abridged version of the Count's full title, "大地を濡らす血の伯爵" (the "Count of Groundsoaking Blood,") it was likely shortened due to character limitations.

Carmilla's title ("嘆きの魔女") was localized as "Banshee" in the English script. However, it was changed to the "Crying Witch" in Boktai 2, which is closer to the original Japanese text.

"慈愛" was retranslated as "Affection" in Boktai 2, which makes more sense in context than "Mercy."

"太陽の季節" would translate to "Season of the Sun." I'm not sure why it was translated as "Sunshine" since the full English translation would have used less characters than the longest title in the English Sound player, "Silvery White Knight."

"Sun Bank" ("太陽バンク") was changed to "Solar Bank" in both Boktai 2 and Lunar Knights.

Boktai 2

Many returning BGMs from the first Boktai now go by new titles in both Boktai 2 and 3. For example, "浄化" ("Purify") is now titled "バトルドライブ" (Battle Drive,") and "死線" ("Death Rattle") is now titled "死戦" ("Death Battle.")

"ひまわり娘ザジ" ("Sunflower Girl Zazie") and "大地の巫女リタ" ("Earthly Maiden Lita") were shortened to just "Zazie" and "Maiden Lita" due to character limitations.

"暗黒少年サバタ" would translate to "Dark Boy Sabata." I'm not sure why it was shortened to just "Dark Sabata" in the English Sound player since the full English translation uses less characters than "Solar Boy Django."

Dungeon BGMs specified which area they were a part of in the original text. For example, "遺跡・白の丘" ("Remains: White Hill") and "暗黒街・暗黒樹" ("Dark City: Backstreets.") These were omitted in the English Sound player due to character limitations.

Boktai 3

The first dungeon BGM, "Sealed Prison" ("閉ざされた牢獄,") is not featured in the Sound player.

Some of the English patch translations differ from the official ones featured in the previous two games. For example, "解説" was translated as "Commentary" instead of "Explanation," and "死戦" was translated as "Deadly Fight" instead of "Death Battle."

Due to character limitations "Sabata's Counterattack" ("逆襲のサバタ") was shortened to "Sabata’s Counter," while "Messager of the Sun" ("太陽の使者") and "Beast of Destruction" ("破壊の獣") were rephrased as "Solar Messenger" and "DestructionBeast."

"あきらめと絶望" would more accurately translate to "Resignation and Despair" rather than "Loss and Despair." However, "Resignation and Despair" wouldn't have fit in the English Sound player due to character limitations.

"ガリガリ君" (lit. "Mr. Crunchy") is a real-world brand of popsicles from Japan. The brand's mascot (who is also named "ガリガリ君,") makes a cameo appearance in Boktai 3 as a merchant.

Lunar Knights

Some dungeon names were shortened in the English Sound player due to character limitations. For example, "Hunting Mansion" ("狩猟の館") was shortened to “H.Mansion," and "Old Culiacan: Sewers" ("旧市街・地下水路") was shortened to just "Sewers."

"暗黒城" is the is the only dungeon BGM that doesn't feature its full name ("暗黒城オーギュスト") in the Japanese Sound player, it was likely shortened due to character limitations.

"Purification Complete" ("浄化完了") was shortened to just "Purify Complete" due to character limitations.

"The Apprentice Gunslinger" was shortened to just "The Apprentice" due to character limitations. "Female Gunslinger" presumably lacks a "The" for the same reason.

"太陽の東、月の西" ("East of the Sun, West of the Moon") was shortened to just "East of the Sun..." due to character limitations.

"魔法戦機" was localized as "Mobile Fighter" in the English script. However, the literal translation would be "Magic War Machine."

"星霊獣" was localized as "Terrennial" in the English script. However, the literal translation would be "Star Spirit Beast."

"星紀末世界" was localized as "The Stellennium" in the English script. However, a more literal translation would be something along the lines of "End of the Star Era."
