This is a drama album for the manga series, not the anime adaption (which aired later with totally different voice actors), so I don't think it fits our database (although I know there could be a precedent where we added albums for a manga / novel series).

I think if the relationship between VGM and anime can move us to index anime music, then the relationship between anime and manga should move us to index "manga music" (or whatever it may be, dramas etc). Since it's related to a series that we have entries for, maybe people will feel that the database is incomplete for that series if we don't add the manga stuff too.

Yeah, agreed, but at the same time, we need to draw a borderline to prevent our scope from being inflated as well as to maintain the structural image of this database. The problem is manga is another product alongside of game and anime, and for a database that is going to organize albums by product in the future, I think we'll end up putting this album on Publication category and linking it to a manga/novel product. That's virtually akin to covering manga/novel, and it may deviate from the intended direction (are we making an album database for general Japanese otaku culture?).

But perhaps I should be more flexible, and be opened for an album that can be of somebody's interest from novel/manga-oriented franchise if it has a game/anime adaption anyway. I also know my image of a product-based database isn't so often shared by others. There was apparently at least one precedent (e.g. Parasite Eve).

Sure, I understand the issue, because then people say "Well why can't we add *this* manga series" even though there's no game or anime relation to it. Then we really are becoming just a "general otaku" website as you put it. But as for the intended direction, we've already deviated from it, just by choosing to index anime music that has no relation to games.

Anyway, it's a complex argument. Personally, I'd rather not see a bunch of manga stuff, especially if they're just dramas... and maybe that alone is enough of an argument to say "Well then why index ANY manga dramas?" No simple answer.

In my defense XD

I posted these since they are related to the anime stuff, and to had more info about music composers releases or worked with.
Koichirou Kameyama (Drama soundtrack) and Hikaru Nanase (Anime Soundtrack)

But' I'm totally agreeing with what you say, this website already deviated from the principle subject.
