This one

http://vgmdb.net/album/3190

has music from Turtles in Time... which I sort of don't really like.

Is Krang's theme anywhere in this album?

Because I just found out its source is from the animated series:

The "TMNT GB" game called in this album is "TMNT: Fall of The Foot Clan". It's arrangement of the 3rd stage. I'm sure of it

Recently picked this box up due to its rarity in complete condition and out of ignorant curiosity, attempted to see some data by popping into my DVD-ROM via PC, hoping VLC might have one of the encoders for it. Was hoping it would be able to view the disc without a Video Disc Player or a Laser Disc Player though given the analog format, guessing no.

You need only a LaserDisc Player to read these tracks, since they are analog video tracks with digital audio PCM. It's not the same thing of a VCD which is a full digital format coded in MPEG.

Bought this thinking it contained all of TMNT '89's music, but apparently it is missing at least Super Krang boss fight and the Factory stage themes. What a shame.

Also, concerning composers...

https://turtlepedia.fandom.com/wiki/...e_note-imdb-10

Quote:
The original music of the game's soundtrack was composed by Mutsuhiko Izumi a TMNT veteran who also composed the music for the previous arcade game in the series. It was arranged for the Super Famicom/SNES version by Kazuhiko Uehara and Harumi Ueko,[10] both of whom went on to produce several Konami games, including the following TMNT game, Tournament Fighters.[11][12]
The source is a piece of imdb trivia though.

Has the content on the Laser Disc been archived somewhere?

Is it worth recording this?

4th disc it's a CD video, not a laserdisc. It can be played on laserdisc player for analog video but it can play digital audio track on a CD player

Would something like this play the 4th disc?

I'm going to scour every thrift store around here to see if I can find a player.

I tried the 4th disc in EAC. It only contains 4 seconds of silence.

I finally got the VSD transferred!

I noticed the track lengths aren't listed in this entry. Do we not do these for videos?

We definitely want to add the times for the video tracks so feel free to add them if you can.

Any suggestions on how I should cut up this video file?

There's obviously more than just the seven commercials: there's the King Video/Konami logo/TV-CM screens, an intro with Megupin, and a silent outro.

If anyone would like to translate and add soft subs, I'd be grateful for that, too.

I am trying to find out what the meaning of this "Normal version" sticker is.
Is it from Konami, from a shop? What does it want to say?

That's usually used in contrast to a limited edition (限定版). It's possible that the calendar or stickers were first print only.

I've seen dozens of copies through the years, but this is the only one with the sticker so far.
Also, it makes no sense to stick the inner jewel case, since the product was sold sealed with a cardboard slipcase that would make the sticker totally invisible until after purchase.
That's why I'm thinking it was applied later.
Though, the sticker is very "official"-looking.

To me it looks like a generic sticker that any record shop might have. It may just be denoting that it doesn't have all the extras.
