If you're wondering, I changed the display title because "Kids on the Slope" is a subtitle.

Anyways, looks like this is confirmed now (there had been rumors about it a couple days ago). Very surprising that they are releasing the soundtrack only three weeks after the anime airs.

About this soundtrack being released on April 25th. Very rare for an anime soundtrack to be released so early.

There's also a soundtrack for the manga being released around the same time, which lead to a bit of uncertainty about whether this was legit. Now that we have a catalog number and more information, it's pretty much confirmed that it wasn't just a rumor.

Coma, a Japanese Yoko Kanno/Maaya Sakamoto fansite, reported about it a couple days ago only listing a date and a title: http://ykms.eco.to/2012/02/425-ost.html

Not sure where they got the information from since no one could find it being listed anywhere a couple days ago.

generally subtitles are visible and part of the title, the official site has none
only the trailer has that "translation", so I don't think it's a subtitle

Perhaps. If so, it's kind of odd that they are using that translation as the official English title.

I think we should wait until that title is seen outside of the trailer before switching it over. Right now it's only been used a single time, so it's hard to tell.

Edit: So it seems they are going with "Kids on the Slope". I switched the product name for all the related entries.

The song title "Bags Groove" officially doesn't have an apostrophe in it, either on the OST or the original Miles Davis album—though if there were to be, it would be "Bags' Groove", since Bags was the nickname for one of the players.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bags%27_Groove

I'll make the change.

Doesn't it have it on this particular OST?

I agree with rejection, scans prevail (cf. edit history)

I just got the OST and no, there is no apostrophe anywhere present. It's possible mine's a slightly altered reprint.

strange, the sony site has bag's like current scans
or maybe your copy was made before a sort of correction (from bags to bag's)

Hard to say. I hadn't even thought to check the scans. It's a new copy from Amazon.co.jp which is why I assumed it was a corrected printing, since older stock is likely to be gone.

This would be something like an official correction in which case it should be corrected here too.

If it's "Bags Groove" on your copy , yeah I stand corrected. Anybody who owns the later printing can submit alternative scans (with some captions).

The scans aren't great because my scanner appears to be giving out, but I uploaded all the instances where I noticed the altered song title. Assuming it's from a corrected printing where "Bag's" was considered an error (and again, Bags was the nickname of the composer, so if there were to be an apostrophe anywhere it would be after the S), that's how I've labeled the scans.
