Default FFSA-ST008: DARK SOULS III Original Soundtrack

The change in music style compared to part 1 and 2 makes me think this may be a solo work by Yuta Kitamura (if they don't pull a BB with a lot of composers).
Trailer & Network Stress Test Title, Character Creation, Dancer of Frigid Valley
Honestly miss the previous more melodic character creation themes.

Kitamura did do the trailer theme for the game, so I'd believe it.

EDIT: She even tweeted this, so it seems like she is (one of the) composers for the game. Also, anybody know what this blog post says? Google translate mentions Sakuraba, but it's hard to understand.

It talks about stuff Kitamura did, from FreQuency's (From's) blog:
- Gamescom 2015 trailer + violin + voice
- E3 Trailer + cello (voice by KOKIA)
- DS2 SOTFS Sir Alonne + voice

The rest is speculation.

For Dark Souls 2 Sakuraba was actually announced and played piano at a promotional event. No such so far this time, other than the above From doesn't have a history of announcing composers before a game's release. (Though it was always odd anyway how From has so many in-house composers but initially none working on the Souls series.)

Some French able to double check this source? http://www.gamekyo.com/group_article43167.html
Appears to claim that composers and their number of tracks have been announced by FROM yesterday, with no further sources to be seen anywhere so far.

I've noticed that a lot of French/Spanish articles have been right in the past regarding composers in yet to-be-relased games before, but I don't think FromSoft has announced anything yet, besides Kitamura.

The tracklist seemed to have been leaked. http://imgur.com/XvkM2nR?r. It seems legit. Kitamura also mentioned a couple months back that she was working with a few composers https://twitter.com/Garcia4891G/stat...85993001779200

Just one disk? And per track composer credits where DkS2 had none?

Seems the release is kind of like the original Dark Souls 2 soundtrack in which the tracks fade out before the songs finish. I am aware the "Curse-rotted Greatwood" cut off before the 2nd phrases start.

And it was composed by Sakuraba! It tries to be a tension-building track, but ends up as a sequence of dissonant chords, nothing really special but yet it doesn't justify being cut in half.

Kitamura Yuka is almost all over the OST, which is a relief. Not that Mr. Sakuraba didn't do a good job with the 1st one and colaborated in the 2nd but he tends to get redundant easily. From all the bosses themes I've heard so far, most of them, although not brilliant, don't sound as experimental as some did in DS II OST. Personal favorite is Lorian, Elder Prince / Lothric, Younger Prince. The battle is also great.

At this point we better should always expect FROM to include an incomplete one disc soundtrack with their first game release, only to have the truly full(?) two discs soundtrack be included in the "best of" game release that includes all the obligatory DLCs that FROM keeps adding afterward.

Or wait a few weeks for the rippers to post the unedited tracks on the internet.
