Two composers are both credited for 95 songs here (Akari Kaida & Yoshino Aoki for Breath of Fire III) and this a pretty well-known fact in VGM circles so I'm not sure why it comes to such a shock to you that there isn't composer-specific breakdown in this soundtrack. This kind of thing happens very often. Yeah, there could be a couple things about who did what in the liner notes, and 7 years from now someone will probably come out with an interview that I will doubt the legitimacy of, but for right now I'm not very surprised that the breakdown we have currently is all we have.

It's well-documented that the collective works of GEM Impact are often just credited by company (Bayonetta, Blassreiter) or head composer (Elvandia Story, Yakuza 2). Usually the composers do work separately, but there are some interactions and occasionally full collaborations. I suspect most of the Bayonetta stuff is Yoshitaka Suzuki, given he is the company's main Hollywood guy and has a reputation for imitating Zimmer scores. The exact credits might not be an industry secret, but simply may not have been communicated from Hibino to Sega.

I don't know why two of the comments before chris were attacking me like I'm an idiot. Shame. I'm not shocked at all about the composer break-down and I can't read Japanese from the booklet (which I had in my hands when I typed up this comment). Also, thank you Chris for providing a reasonable explaination, I understand now. I barely listen to anything by GEN Impact and I didn't know squat about the company 'til now.

A recent tracklist edit changed "In Trouble" to "Pinch". I thought that "ピンチ" in Japanese was usually slang for a troublesome situation. Is there a good justification to change it to the more literal translation?

If eng. "pinch" is written in katakana, it becomes ピンチ, so this looks like a usual loan word stuff.

I would just leave any katakana (normally) written loan word in the original language form, if the situation is clear (meaning no hidden pun etc.)... That's just me though.

I had thought that the title "In Trouble!" was a mistake going by the katakana, but since I don't actually know Japanese, I didn't know that ピンチwas slang. I apologize for any confusion on my part.

Well, the phrase "in a pinch" in English can refer to being in a difficult/emergency situation, so it seems like Japanese and English aren't too much different in this regard. I think that the title "Pinch!" here could just as well refer to that as any other title. Or you could title it "In a Pinch!" or something.

Well, just wanted to say that this basically means the same in both languages, I think.

Ok, it's probably fine to go with "Pinch" then.

I only really liked Erina Niwa's tracks. Yamaguchi and Ueda have some pretty fun tracks. Kondoh has that style I don't care for much. GEM Impact's tracks were more or less filler to me since I don't have experience with the game. The retro tracks are pretty fun, and it's really cool to see them include prototype/trailer stuff as well. Just like with Okami.

Drive with Enzo is my favourite track. Such a crisp sound!

I am trying to add the US iTunes releases as child albums, but since the number of tracks are different (mainly due to the exclusion of the repeated instances of Fly Me to the Moon) the system gives me the following error:

Quote:
Please fill in tracklist information for all discs before submitting.
So I went ahead and creted a completely different entry for the first volume. I want to know if this is the correct way to proceed before I add volumes 2 through 5. Otherwise, there's no point in doing all this work if it is going to get rejected in the end.

If they have different number of tracks, I don't think they are suppose to be child albums? But yes, everything looks good. (except the fact you ported over the entire composer list, but that's an easy fix)

All releases are sold separately: they must be entered separately.

Can a trusted editor please link volumes 2 through 5 of the individual OST album releases to the main product page? Only vol. 1 is showing up for some reason.

I added Mitsuharu Fukuyama, Masami Ueda and Hiro as arrangers because they arranged Disc 2 - Tracks 24 (Fukuyama), 25 (Ueda), 26 (Hiro) and Disc 3 - Tracks 23 and 24 (Hiro).

These credits can be found in the in-game Sound Jukebox. I find it amazing that no one has added these credits almost 7 years after the game's release.

I also deleted the WiiU as a represented platform because the soundtrack does not reflect the music featured in that port, it only reflects the music featured in the 360 and PS3 releases.

I really find it a bummer how the GEM Impact composers didn't get individual credits, specially given how in the Bayonetta 2 album Hibino and Izutani received them for their respective tracks (I'm assuming here the production of the tracks would be equal or similar for both games btw).

I added the tracklist with the official English track names from streaming services / the in-game jukebox. Not sure how this page has gone 10+ years without that.

Also, here's the in-game jukebox list (some of the numbering is different from the official release due to it having missing tracks and a few in a different order). This is from the Switch version, haven't checked other versions:
