Kanji name confirmed via http://www16.atwiki.jp/gmclw/pages/43.html.

Is 祐一 really read as "Yu-ichi"? What about Yuichi or Yuuichi (see below)?

Anyway, his credits include Vatroller X (GBA), One Piece: Grand Battle 1&2 (PSX) (album), Jump Superstars (DS), and One Piece Ultimate Cruise (Wii). He seems to be a staff composer at Ganbarion He is likely the composer of upcoming Wii action RPG Pandora's Tower (trailer).

I wonder if he is the same person as "Yuichi Hirose", credited here. This person's name is alternately written as "Yuuichi Hirose" as evidenced here. Also, this album needs to have Yuichi/Yuuichi Hirose added as an artist.

I think he meant with the dash as "Yu-ichi," as opposed to "Yuichi." It's not really wrong, since the dash is just one way to indicate that the u a long vowel (alternatively "Yuuichi," "Yūichi," etc.). In the credits of One Piece: Unlimited Adventure he's credited as "Yuichi," though, so I swapped his name to that.

I'm curious myself. The game seems like a real outlier for him, but the Japanese name in the booklet is the same. It's certainly possible he did it before joining Ganbarion, which was founded after TFV was released.

I just learned now that Ganbarion was formed by ex-Technosoft staff, so three years later: yeah probably the same person.

I've seen a few semi-dubious sources (VGM Atwiki, Thunder Force Fandom and Korean Wikipedia) claim Yuichi Hirose was "Tektek" at Technosoft, credited on Thunder Force V, Neorude 2, and Kuttu Ketto.

Anyone know if there's any evidence to back this up? Beyond the circumstantial evidence that he was an early member of Ganbarion and is credited on Lost Technology.

I've seen that too but haven't been able to confirm it, beyond the timeline matching up
