The game credits for Suikoden V confirm that Hudson Soft composers Yoshihiro Tsukahara, Takashi Watanabe, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Chiharu Mukaiyama were responsible for some of the music. Is there any confirmation that Norikazu Miura composed it all in the album credits?
This is one of a number of somewhat startling discoveries I've made while trawling through Konami game credits. Another is that Mikio Saito only had a small role in Dracula X and Akiropito (likely Aki Hata) was the main composer. Last edited by Chris; Sep 9, 2009 at 03:06 PM. |

Well, Miura only has sound producer credits on the booklet itself, and he's probably commenting the tracks also. Will be scanning the booklet and whole album (except those cards which are still sealed :P) bit later so people who can read japanese can check if there's more information.

Would be indeed interesting which role Miura had on this project. I think he's done some of the major themes and had the role as director / supervisor. But any clear information would be interesting...

I entered Konami as a sound creator in’97. My representative works are Gradius Gaiden (PS) (available in Gradius Collection (PSP) in North America), KENSEI (PS), Shadow Of Destiny (PS2) and so on. In FIREFIGHTER F.D.18 (PS2), I adopted Klaus Badelt as an arranger. For the Suikoden series I have previously worked on Suikoden IV (PS2), Suikoden Tactics (PS2), and Suikoden V (PS2). Suikoden Tierkreis (NDS) is now my fourth entry in the Suikoden series http://mp.i-revo.jp/user.php/lovesound/entry/13.html |

It still doesn't specify if he did work on it as a composer, and not only as sound director/producer as we already know.

Added Miki Higashino, Tappy, Hirofumi Taniguchi, Masahiko Kimura and Michiru Yamane as composers for the tracks I referred to in the 'notes' section on the album page and this can be corroborated by looking at the composer credits on the other Suikoden soundtrack releases. It is too difficult to assign specific arranger credits, however.
Edit: Still no composer credits for this one, huh? That's a shame. Last edited by Muzza; Feb 12, 2011 at 04:51 AM. |

It's 2:27, Foobar probably rounds it up though.

Naoyuki Sato apparently composed 2.03, based on bemani credits for the arranged version 水上の提督.

They may be referencing the arranged mini-album since he arranged that track there.

He's credited for both composition and arrangement of it on multiple bemani albums, and Konami is pretty consistent about noting when the music is composed by someone else. As an example, he did another Suikoden V arrange (女王騎士) for pop'n music 13 Carnival CS and the credited composer there is "Genso Suikoden Music Team."
