I got lot of incertitude regarding the original composition credits for this album.

I actually put artists as written on the back cover (i at least corrected spelling mistakes to match vgmdb artists..)


Simon Harris & C. Case are credited for Super Mario Land, but they are arrangers and not original composers ? (remix of an arrange? who do you credit?)

Alexey Pajitnov is credited for Tetris, but he's probably not the original composer of this classic tetris music. (that russian tune "Korobeiniki") ?

Jimita, Macky are credited for Sonic the Hedgehog (but if i am not wrong, they were only sound effects assistants) ?

I got no idea if track 6 "Arriba, Arriba!" (credited by "Joan Rosell, X. Ten" -no idea who they are-) is arranged from a particular game.. i recognise some voice samples here and there (like Lemmings and Blood Money), but the rest is unknown for me ?

Maybe i can help with that.

This cd is only one of the "Mix" cd craze that happened in the 90s around Spain. The other tracks are clearly Remixes of videogame themes... but "Arriba arriba!" (Writing credits are properly done. The 'Artist' name was John Boy, but it was not his real name) was a mildly successful Techno Song that used some videogame samples (it even includes a small popular folk melody at some point). The guy even had a computer when performing it. It was probably owned by the same company that did the CD.

The Super Mario Land guys "S. Harris, C. Cases", are credited because the song is remix of this version, maybe?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eGJoLD2jsc I'm not 100% sure, half of the song seems mixed with a different techno song, and they excluded all the lyrics.

The original composers are clearly wrong in some tracks, though. They were trying to credit the original videogame composers in some of them, but i guess the information they had in those days was... well... very poor.

Jodi Carreras was a popular DJ in spain... even if it's not in the credits as such, he probably did the last track, a Mix featuring the other themes.
