KTCR-1293: Kamaitachi no Yoru Soundtrack

Was track 34 on this album (Recollection) features in any other well-known games or elsewhere? It sounds very familiar for some reason:

My thoughts:

1) The general instrumentation reminded me of the Super Famicom Dragon Quest spin-off game "Torneko no Daibouken: Fushigi no Dungeon", which is not a surprise since Chunsoft is the developer of both games.

2) The overall melancholiness of the song and the flute reminded me of "Dog Maze" from the "Secret of Evermore" soundtrack.

3) The rising notes/chord progression starting at 0:40 reminds me of something else but it's probably just a common tool.
